Fowler, '750 High St. SE., Salem, Greg.
Filed Sept. 4, i962, Ser. No. ZZIMSS 2 Clarins-sf` (Ci, 2-325) The present invention `relates to vshort suspender and has for `an object a support for trousers having'direct connection to the shirt whereby the shirtrsupports the load.v Y.
,f Another object of the invention is to dispense with the great length of conventional Suspenders, with the six-point constructed including the difficulty of drawing on the trousers with attached Suspenders.
A further object of the invention is to provide short independent suspender straps applicable to side portions `of the shirt beneath the armholes out of the way of arm and body action, leaving the shoulders free, and attachv -able to the trousers Vafter same have been put on,
With the foregoing and other objects in View, the'invention will be more fully described hereinafter, andwill. be
:more particularly pointed out-in the claims appended In the drawings, wherein like symbolsrefer to like or corresponding parts throughout the several views:
FIGURE l is a fragmentary front elevational View of i theper'son of the wearer of a short suspender pursuant to the invention, illustrating one form of attachment between the shirt and trousers; V
FIGURE 2 is a front'elevational view of avform ofl shortsuspender having a` series of buttonholes therein; i
VFIGURE 3 isa "side` elevationalviewof a shirt show#y ing a button beneathV the arrnhole thereof with which the buttonholes on the'upper portiony of the shorty suspender may be selectively engaged;
FIGURE 4 is a view taken onla magnified scale, similar i to FIGURE 3,"showing a shortfsuspender'attached 'to te button of the 'shirt and clipped to the trousers;V
FIGURE `5 is a longitudinal-sectional ',view'taken (on y FGURE 6 shows afront elevational view tied formoftheinyeiition. r
Referring more particularly toi-the drawings 4and `for the presenttoFIGURES `l` to v5 inclusive,v 10 designatesl -apair oftrousers to bes'upported and 11 represents an 'Vouterjshirtlemployed, accordingfto the invention, Vas: a

i The height of the trousers may be adjusted by adjusting thelengths of thestraps in either'manneras above described. i
The inventionY involves no variation to conventional constructions of shirts and trousers and is compatible with `changingfashions in either or both.
` The strap maybe like a suspender strap, either of elastic or inelastic webbing or other material.
It will be appreciated that while buttons and buttonyholes are disclosed'any other vforms of complernental` fasteners may be used such as snap fasteners,`one mem# i Vber of which Vis aliixed to theshirt and the other'mernber tothe strap. In like manner, clips or clasps I4 have been disclosed as exemplary of fastening means by which the straps maybe atiixed to the trousers.
