United States Patent ZINC BASE TERNARY ALLOY CONTAINING TIN AND LEAD Luigi Monaco, New York, N. Y.

1 Claim. 01. 75-178) This invention is concerned with a novel alloy having specially desirable properties for use in making jewelry of the less expensive kind.
An object of this invention is to provide a novel metal alloy which is easily cast into desired shapes in rubber molds by the usual methods of die casting.
Another object of this invention is to provide a metal alloy which may be cast into articles of jewelry which can be easily plated and soldered.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a metal alloy which is malleable and easily worked.
Still another object of the invention is to provide a 2,837,427 Patented June 3, 1958 ICE series of alloys which are easily compounded without special precautions.
The alloy in this invention consists basically of 1. A mixture of Zinc, tin and lead.
Specifically the formula comprises:
