IMPROVEMENT IN WORK-TABLES.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 169,958, dated November 16, 1875; application filed July 31, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, J OHN CA NON, of Lines Hollow, Crawford county, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and ImprovedWork-Table, of
which the following is a specification:
My invention consists of a revolving disk or ring under the top of a round or approximately round table, having pockets depending from the outer edge for holding work or implements, the revolving pocket-holder be-,
. ing to enable the person using the table to turn the pockets around readily to the place where it is convenient to use them. The revolving pocketholder will, by preference, be made octagonal or of similar form, with more or less sides, according to the size and number of pockets, and each side will have a pocket.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a table constructed according to my improvement, and Fig. 2 is a section of Fig. 1 on the line A is the table top; B, the standard; 0, a disk of plank not so large as the table top, used for connecting it to the standard, and also employed to fit the revolving pocketholder Don, and to support the rollers for it to revolve upon. F represents the pockets, which, in this example, are made of a back series of open pockets on its outer edge, thus exposing all-the pockets to view as the ring is revolved, and furthermore enabling the per= son using the stand to sit down on either side of the same, and easily bring any implement to hand without inconvenience.
