Application filed January 20, 1925, Serial No. 3,609, and in Germany March 15, 192%.
This invention relates to sock suspenders, garters or the like, more particularly to adjusting means therefor.
One object of the invention is to provide a band of woven material manufactured with projecting transverse rib-like abutments on both sides.

The band 1 of the sock holder is provided with transverse ribs or bars 2 which can be to on arm 4 of the slide. The second arm 5 of the slide rests always in a grooved recess between two cross ribs and is pressed by the pull of the hand against one cross rib which serves as an abutment to prevent any undesired displacement.
The band may be either elastic or non- V elastic.

I declare that what I claim is In a sock suspender, garter or the like the combination of a band of woven material provided throughout with projecting transverse rib-like abutments on both sides and a single-slotted slide attached to one end of said band and adapted to lean against one or other of said abutments on the fixed portion of said band.
