Fig. 3 transverse median sectional view of the same.
Description.
The clamps or bite-elements 1 i are formed from the wire 5, which wire 5 has its, terminals upturned as shown in Fig. l. Cinctures 88 and 99 secure said wire to the button engaging members 10-10, these members 10 each having an integral projection (6 and 7), these Iprojections 6 and 7 overlapping as shown in *igs. 2 and 3, the projection thus having a terminal cincture 11, and the projection 7 having the terminal cincture 12, so that said projections 6 and 7 other permitting of an adjustment between the two button engaging members 10-10, the resilient quality of the wire 5 serving to secured to the shirt,
7 wire element contoured have slidable engagement with each signature.
Serial No. 522,965.
Mode of operation.
It will be understood that the supporter is for use inside the trouser-band of the wearer, and the members 10-1O are to engage with buttons on the inner side or face of the trouser-band. I claim:
In a garment supporter, in combination a a trouser-engaging element secured to said wire element and arranged to engage with buttons on the inner side of the trouser band of the wearer, said trouser-engaging element comprising two button-engaging members each having a projection, and said projections having sliding engagement with each other.
, In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my FRANKLIN O. GATES.
