Be it known that I ROYAL MAncHnR, a citizen of the United tates, and a resident of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in a Combined Mirror and Van ity Case,-of. which the following is a 'speci- This invention relates to an improvement in a combined mirror and vanity'case, and has for its object to provide a device in the general form of a hand mirror so arranged with suitable compartments to receive various toilet articles such as a powder puff, a lip stick or the like, utilizing here-. tofore waste space, all of which is done without materially enlarging I the outside diameter of the article. 7
With this object, and other objects which may hereinafter appear, in view, I have devised the particular arrangement of parts hereinafter set forth and moreparticularly pointed out-in the claim appended hereto.

In the preferred embodiment of my '1nvention, as disclosed in the accompanying drawing, '1 indicates the handle portion,

The hollow handle 1 is provided with a tubularsleeve 12 held within it and slidable within said sleeve is a tubular container 13 adapted to receive a lip stick 14 or a cosmetic of any other elongated or cylindrical character. The container 13 is se cured within the end 15 of the handle and.
said end 15 is separable from the rest of the handle 1 and is frictionally held thereon for the reception of any other toilet articles.-
The lip stick 14 may be removed for. use by drawin out the same from'the handle.
It-w 1 be obvious that my improved-dc vlcemay be modified in many forms as to shape and construction without departing from' thespiritof my invention.
Having described my invention, what I claim is l a An article of the class described compris- 'mg an article made in substantial similarity to a hand mirror, said article having a substantially flat, hollow head-adapted to form a storage chamber,.a hinged face on said mirror on its outer face and adapted to be swung away from the body of thearticle to uncover the entrance to the storage chamber,
a laterally extending tubular portion on said head forming a handle' therefor and adapted to act as a storage chamber, a removable end on said handle forming a continuation thereof, a tubular container of less'thickness than the removable end, tubular means within the handle for receiving the tubular portion on the'end and meansfor retaining the end ortion of the handle on the handle.
