Be it known that i, ANDREW B. Fines, a citizen of the United States, residingfat Attleboro, in the county of Bristol and State ot Massachusetts, have invented certain new andr useful improvements Vanity Cases, of which the `following is a specication.

This invention relates to vanity cases for womens use, and `has for its object to provide such a case in which a plurality of trays or receptacles are housed in superimposed relation between its sidewalls, means also being/"provided Ywhereby these side walls of the case may be opened or swung apart and the trays moved Jforward to extended position to openv them and present their contents tol the user.

lVith these and other objects in view, the invention consists ot certain novel 'features of construction, as will he more fully described, and particularly pointed out in the appended claims.

It is found `in practice' desirable to Vprovide a portable vanity case with a .plurality ot trays vadapted to carry ditierent niaterials tor'treating theslrin, such as powder, rouge or otherA materials and to arrange these Vtrays so that those beneath are covered by those aboverwhen in closed or inoperative position and alsoto so arrange these trays that they may be moved forwardly and all opened simultaneously if desired to present their different contents to the user, and the following is a detailed description of one construction et vanity case 4by which Ythese Vresults may be accom- With reference to the drawings 10 and ll designate the two vertically-'disposed side walls of the casing which are hinged together at.l2, see Figure 4f, on their rear sides. p y Y These side walls may be made in any desired shape suchl as circular, hexagonal, octagonal or any other preferred design.

The foregoingdescription is directed solely towards the construction illustrated, but l desire it to be understood that l reserve the vprivilege of resorting to all the mechanical changes to which the device is susceptible, the invention being deiined and limited only by the terms oi the appended claims.

l claim:

l. Ak vanity case comprising a shell formed of a pair of separable side walls, a lid for the case, and a plurality of superimposed trays housed between said walls and adapted to be moved forward from between'the walls oi' the shell when the lid and the side walls are swung to open position.

2; A' vanity case comprising a shell formed of a pair Vofi vertically-disposed iingedly-connected side walls, a lid hinged to oneof the side walls and adapted to close over both sections thereof to loclr them in closed position, and a plurality of superimposedv trays normally mount-ed between said walls one of said ,trays being pivotally" mounted to be swung forward from closed position to present its content-s to the user.
