This invention ices to improvements in toilet articles. partioulari to improvements in eon-lbs and it is the principal object oi the invention to provide a combined hair brush and comln in which the comb is adapted to be placed within recess formed within the i.)l-'.USl1 in a ready and convenient manner.

A further object oi? the invention. is to provide a combined comb and brush in which the comb is easily brought into its operating: position an d heldtherein.

The bristles of the brush ii are e11- gagged in the usual manner within a booking 1% in which is formed recess 13 and a handle 14L is made integrally with this backing. The comb has the customary plurality of teeth 15 and its back is provided near the ones of the same with suitable eriorations in al ncmcnt with similar perforations in the brush-backing so that pins 16 provided with heads may be passed through the perforations o the brush-backing and the comb baclr n their heads 17 resting; on top of the brush-backing 12 it it is desired to hold the comb to the brush in its operating position shov-Jn in Fig. 1.

it is desired as for instance when pecking a suit case for traveiin, to place the comb into the recess 13 of the brushbacking', the pins 16 are removed and the comb is turned to enter with its teeth first the recess 13, whereaiter, the pins are again placed into the perforations in the brush back and comb in an obvious manner to hold the comb within the brush-back recess it will be understood that changes may be made in the minor details oi the device without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention, but what I claim is- A combined brush and comb comprising perforated brush-backing, provided with longitudinal recess, a handle formed with said backing a comb having a perforated back, the perforations of said brush-backing and said comb'back adapted to be brought into alinement, and headed pins adapted to be passed through said perforations to hold the comb in its operating position at the edge of said brush-backing and to secure said comb in re 'ersed position within the recess of said bruslrbeclrinp;
