IMPROVEMENT IN CARRIAGE-JACKS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 117,114, dated July 18, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY L. RIOUFF, of Pleasant Ridge, Hamilton county, Ohio, have invented a new and useful Carriage-J ack, of which the following is a specification:
This is an improved form of jack for lifting vehicles and other objects.
A is a post or standard, having a foot, B, at its lower part, and at its upper part a socket, a, to receive the shank c of a guide, C, for a liftingbar, D, Which bar has an adjustable rest or shoulder, E, on Which the object to be lifted is placed. F is a setscrew to hold the guide O to any desired position, according to Whether a 10W or a high object is to be elevated. G is a lever, hinged to the post at g, and to a rod, H, at g', which rod Vitnesses:
