Description
A. J. WARNER. FLY PAPER HOLDER. APPLICATION FILED MAR. 24. 1915.
Patented Jan. 25, 1916.
THE COLUMBIA PLANOGRAPH co, WASHINGTON, D. c.
AMY J". WARNER, OF MIDDLEFIELD, CONNECTICUT.
FLY-PAPER HGLIDER.
Application filed March 24, 1915.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AMY J. WARNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Middlefield, in the county of Middlesex and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Fly-Paper Holders; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the characters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this application, and represent, in-
Figure 1 a front view of a fly-paper holder constructed in accordance with my invention. Fig. 2 a broken rear view of the same. Fig. 3 a view in vertical central section.
This invention relates to an improvement in fly-paper holders, and while particularly adapted for holding sheets of sticky flypaper, is also applicable for holding other devices, such as samples of paper or pictures, the object being to provide a holder which will support a sheet of paper and roll the lower end; and the invention consists in the construction hereinafter described and particularly recited in the claim.
In carrying out my invention I employ a rectangular back 2 and a rectangular frame 3. These are preferably formed from sheet metal and the top of the frame is hinged to the top of the back. It is apparent, however, that if formed from pasteboard, the back and frame might be formed from the same piece of material. The back is longer than the frame so as to extend below the frame, and secured to the face of the back are a series of malleable metal strips 41: forming fingers which may be bent Specification of Letters Patent.

hooks whereby the device may be suspended on a screen door or window. As stated this device is particularly adapted for supporting sheets 9 of sticky fly-paper which are inserted between the back and frame so that the sticky surface is exposed through the opening in the frame, and the fingers 4 being bent outward and upward, forms the support for the lower edge 10 which is curved or rolled upward forming a trough, so to speak, to catch any drops of the sticky material with which the fly-paper is coated, thus permitting the use of fly-paper in a vertical or nearly vertical position.
I claim A holder for the purpose specified comprising a back and a frame connected together at the top, the back deeper than the frame and provided below the frame with a series of malleable fingers adapted to be curved outward and upward.
In testimony whereof, I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
AMY J. WARNER.
CLARA L. WEED.
