No. 885,461. PATENTBD APR. 21, 1908. L. A. FEVER.
STICKY FLY PAPER TRAY.
, APPLICATION FILED 001224, 1907.
guveqfcz LULA A. FEVER, OF SECOR, ILLINOIS.
STIGKY-FTLY-PAPER TRAY.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented. April 31, 1908.
Application filed October 24, 1907. Serial No. $98,945.
$0 all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LULA A. FEVER, a citize of United States, residing at Secor, in the coii nty of VVoodford, State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sticky-Fly-Paper Trays; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention has relation to a neat simple and useful tray adapted to remo ably hold and secure a sheet'of fly paper.
The object of my invention is to provide a neat and sightly device adapted to hold a sheet of fly paper so that the same may be placed at convenient points either in a horizontal or vertical position.
In the accompanying drawings I have shown in Figure 1 a top view of a tray embodying my invention while, Fig. 2 discloses a central sectional view thereof.-
I In carrying out the aim of my invention I provide a-tray made of sheet metal and in the form of a rectangular sheet or blank the four corners of which are clipped oil as shown in dotted line at 2 in Fig. 1. The two sides B, B are bent over as are the two ends'D, D to form beveled-edges as disclosed in Fig. 2.
This can be nicely accomplished because of the clipped corners which permit the desired formation.- This tray or receptacle is made of a proper size so as to nicely receive a sheet of sticky fly paper.
In Fig. 1, I have shown in dotted outline at E the position of a sheet of stickyfiy paperE as held and positioned within the tray A. 7
At each end the tray is provided with a coil spring ()the ends of which are hooked Within suitable openings m, within the sides B of the tray as disclosed in Fig. 1 so that these springs exert a yielding pressurepupon the tray bottom to removably secure the fly paper in a spring-held condition.
The springs C, (7 are so positioned that when the fly paper has been properly inserted within the tray the springs will rest upon the uncovered border ends of the fly paper so that these springs will not become soiled in coming in contact with the sticky preparation upon the lly paper.
By these means I provide a neat sightly and eflicient device that an be carried about and placed in any desired position with a view of catching the flies and Having thus described my said invention what I claim as now and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is A sheetmetal tray having its ends and sides bent over to form a beveled edged holder of the character described, and two coil springs extending across said tray from edge to edge. one at each end, each spring being; in yieldiiu: contact with the bottom of said tray.
In testimony whereof, I allix my signature, in presence of two witnesses.
LULA A. FEVER.
IVitnesses:
