subject of the King of Norway, residing at' My invention relates to bottle cases and g has for its object to provide a simply constructed and eliicient device for holding a plurality of containers such as bottles used in sampling flour or like material.

The full objects and advantages of my invention will appear in connection with the detailed description thereof and are particularly pointed out in the claims.

In the drawings, illustrating the application of my invention in one form,-

Figure 1 is a side view partly in section of my improved bottle case. Fig. 2 is a top plan view of the same. Fig. 3 is a side part sectional view of a portion of the case showing the manner of inserting the retaining pin. Fig. 4 is a section on line 4 4 of Fig. 3. Figs. 5, 6 and 7 are fragmentary views of an end pocket showing a slightly modified construction permitting easy access to the retaining pin.

As illustrated, a casing 10 is provided, preferably of an integral block of wood or similar material, in which a series of cylindrical receptacles 11 are provided, said receptacles receiving a like series of bottles 12,

which bottles will have the corked ends' thereof extending to a point near the plane of the top of the casing 10, as best shown in Figs. 2 and 3. The casing 10 will have

13 and 14 and partition walls 15 intermediate the chambers 11. One of the end walls, as 14, is complete, the other end wall 18 being provided with a notch 16 in the top thereof extending in the diametrical line passing across the chambers 11. Similar notches 17 are formed in the upper edges of partition walls 15, all of said notches being in alinement along the said diametrical line. Wire staples 18 are driven into the casing across the centers of ythe partition walls 15, thus overlying the notches '17 in said walls. The simplici-ty and etiiciency of my bottle case will be apparent. In practice the same will preferably be integrally formed of a small block of wood out of which the chambers 11 will be bored by auger or common boring machine. The slotting at the tops of

13 and 15 and the application of staples 18 may be readily accomplished, which with the pin 19 and semicircular locking headQO provides an eXceedingly efficient and easily applied means for retaining the sample bottles in the bottle case.

I claim: y

LA bottle case comprising an integral casing member having a series of bottleholding compartments therein each opening through the end of the casing along a common diametrical line, a pin, and means for removably holding said pin along said diametrical line and above the bottles in the casing by means of which'said bottles are secured in the compartments.

A bottle case comprising an integral casing member having a series of cylindrical bottle-'holding compartments therein each opening through the end of the casing along a common diametrical line, a series of notches being formed in one end wall and the partition walls between said compartments along said diametrical line, retaining members secured to the partition walls above said notches, a pin insertible ythrough said notches and beneath said retaining members for securing the bottles Within. the
