rHF' NORRIS FEI'FRS c0 PHOm LITHU WASHINGTON n c UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
.IESSE A. TURNER, OF ELLIOTT, IOWA.
BUTTON-MOLD HOLDER.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JESSE A. TURNER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Elliott, in the county of Montgomery and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Button-Mold I-l olders; and I do hereby declare the follow ing to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to button mold holders.
The object of the invention resides in the provision of a button mold holder which will support a plurality of button molds in such manner that the molds of the same size will all be supported together so that the possibility of the various sizes of molds becoming mixed is obviated.
A further object of the invention resides in the provision of a button mold holder from which the button molds can be conveniently removed as they are sold.
WVith the above and other objects in view the invention consists in the details of e011- struction and in the arrangement and combination of parts to be hereinafter more fully described and particularly pointed out in the appended claim.
In describing the invention in detail reference will be had to the accompanying drawings wherein like characters of reference denote corresponding parts in the several views, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of a button mold holder constructed in accordance with the invention and showing a plurality of button molds supported upon one of the stringing wires of the holder; Fig. 2, a plan view of the holder; Fig. 3, a section on the line 3-3 of Fig. 2, and Fig. 4, a detail perspective view of a fragment of the holder.
Referring to the drawings the improved button mold holder is shown as comprising a base A formed of sections 10 and 11. The section 11 is provided on its outer side with a facing of felt or othersuitable material indicated at 12. This facing is designed to prevent the element supportin the holder from being scratched. Rising from the section 10 of the base is a standard 13 upon the upper end of which is mounted a circular plate '14 having a plurality of eyes 15 Specification of Letters Patent.
Application filed October 4, 1913.

Serial No. 793,407.
these elements is constructed of a length of resilient wire one end of which is engaged in the section 10 of the base while the other end thereof is inserted through one of th ys 15. The upper end of each stringing element is bent laterally as at 17 and as each element is of a lengt greater than the distance between the lower end thereof and the plate 14; it will be obvious that when the upper end of the element is inserted through the eye 15 the stringer will be bowed as clearly shown in the drawingOwing to the lateral bend of the stringer at its upper end it will be obvious that the movement of same through the eye will be limited so that the stringers will normally be held bow shape. If it is desired to remove molds from any stringer it is only necessary to press down upon the upper end of the stringer and disengage same from the eye 15. Upon then releasing the stringer it will assume substantially a straight shape so that the molds can be readily removed. After the molds have been removed the upper end of the stringer is reengaged in the eye. It will be apparent that molds of a given size can be placed on each stringer and in this way the possibility of molds of different sizes becoming mixed is obviated.
"What is claimed is:-
In a device of the class described. the combination of a base having a plurality of inclined recesses in the side wall thereof, a standard rising from the base, a plate supported upon the top of the stand, a plurality of eye members mounted in the algo of said plate, and a plurality of stringing elements formed of resilient material and having a length in excess of the distance between said base and said plate and further having their lower ends engaged in said recesses respectively and their upper ends engaged in said eye members whereby said stringing elements will be held in bow shape.
In testimony whereof, I allix my signature, in the presence of two witnesses.
JESSE A. TURNER.
lVitnesses C. H. VVEs'raorn, Manon SANDELL.
