COMBINED STQVE-DOOR' AND HBARTH,

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part-of the same.

I, JOHN A. PRICE, of Scranton, Lnzerne county, Pennsylvania, have invented an Improved Stove-D001 and Hearth combined, of which the following is a specification.

This invention consists in.the combination of a stove-door with a hearth,.when these two parts are either cast in one piece or otherwise rigidly connected, so as tobe bothsupported upon the same hinges and. swung open together, so as toiuncover the ash-pan and fire-box at the same time, and close together, whereby the labor of" removing and replacing the hearth separately is avoided.

In the drawingc is the stove-door;

b, the hearth, rigidly attached at its inner side to the lower edge of the door;

Besides possessing the advantages enumerated above, this construction admits of openingthe front of the stove, when itis necessary to work at the same, more fully than could otherwise be done.

.I claim as my invention- The combination of a hinged stove-door, a, and hearth b, substantially in the manner described and for the purpose set forth.
