本發明係關於一種熱熔膠,以及更明確而言係關於一種用於消耗性用品領域其以可拋棄式尿布及衛生棉為代表之熱熔膠。
用於消耗性用品,諸如尿布及衛生棉之熱熔膠被施用於其基材,例如不織布、織物、聚乙烯膜等,其不僅於高溫下亦必需於室溫下具有足夠黏著力及壓敏黏性。
近年來,由於日益增加對環境問題的意識因而促進使用天然材料、植物性材料及生物可分解材料取代傳統石油性原料之發展。就環境問題例如增加二氧化碳排放量之全球暖化而言,已企圖利用非石油性樹脂,例如不含石油之聚乳酸類樹脂作為原料以製造熱熔膠。
然而,含聚乳酸類樹脂之熱熔膠中,其聚乳酸類樹脂與其他成分例如增黏樹脂間之相容性資料仍嫌不足,因而與利用無聚乳酸類樹脂之熱熔膠相比,更加不瞭解其壓敏黏性、黏著力、熱安定性等。
專利文件1揭露一種含聚乳酸類樹脂及聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯)或聚(丁二酸乙酯)之熱熔膠。專利文件2揭露一種含聚乳酸及聚乙烯醇樹脂之熱熔膠。專利文件3揭露一種聚含乳酸及天然粉末物質之生物可分解黏膠。這些黏膠於室溫下不具有足夠之壓敏黏性並且對聚烯烴等基材不具有足夠之黏著力。此外,專利文件4揭露一種含熱塑性樹脂及增黏劑作為主成
分之熱熔膠組成物,其中任一這些成分或二者中含有衍自聚乳酸或乳酸以及其他羥基羧酸之乳酸共聚樹脂。就此熱熔膠組成物而言,其增黏劑與其他成分間之相容性極差,因而此熱熔膠組成物對聚烯烴等基材不具有足夠之黏著力。

本發明之一目標係為解決上述問題所提供一種高度利於環保之熱熔膠,其亦具有足夠壓敏黏性、黏著力、熱安定性等,特別指一種用於消耗性用品領域之熱熔膠。
本發明係關於下列項目。
1.一種熱熔膠包含:(A)一極性官能基-改性聚合物;(B)一脂肪族聚酯類樹脂;(C)一增黏樹脂,以及(D)一熱塑性彈性體。

根據本發明,熱熔膠內加入極性官能基-改性聚合物可改善脂肪族聚酯類樹脂例如聚乳酸類樹脂與其他成分間之相容性。因此提供一種有利於環保、具有改良壓敏黏性、黏著力、熱安定性等,並且可廣泛地被塗於各種基材之熱熔膠。
本發明之熱熔膠包含至少(A)一極性官能基-改性聚合物、(B)一脂肪族聚酯類樹脂、(C)一增黏樹脂以及(D)一熱塑性彈性體。這些於下文中將分別被簡稱為「成分A」、「成分B」、「成分C」及「成分D」。一「改性聚合物」意指包括(i)於獲得聚合物之後提供一官能基者以及(ii)於聚合過程中被導入一官能基者之其中一項。
在本發明之熱熔膠中,使用極性官能基-改性聚合物(A)(成分A)可增加脂肪族聚酯類樹脂(B)與其他成分例如增黏樹脂(C)間之相容性,以及改善其壓敏黏性、黏著力、熱安定性等。
用於本發明之極性官能基-改性聚合物(A)指具有至少一極性官能基之聚合物。該極性官能基被導入之位置並無特殊限制,其可於聚合物之末端或除聚合物末端外之聚合物內部。該極性官能基可被提供至一已獲得聚合物,或於單體聚合過程中被導入。
該「極性官能基」之實例包括酸酐基,例如馬來酸酐基、羧基、馬來酸基、胺基、亞胺基、烷氧矽基、矽醇基、矽醚基、羥基及環氧基。這些之中,以馬來酸酐基、馬來酸基、胺基及環氧基較佳。

藉由凝膠滲透色譜法(GPC)利用以均一分子量分佈聚苯乙烯作為轉換分子量基準物之校正曲線測量其重均分子量。
本發明之熱熔膠除了成分A、成分B、成分C及成分D之外較佳為含有增塑劑(E)(下文中有時稱為「成分E」)。按100份重量比成分A至E之總量,A成分之混合比例較佳為1至30份重量比,更佳為2至20份重量比。
在本發明之熱熔膠中,使用脂肪族聚酯類樹脂(B)(成分B)可有效降低由石油等所製成材料之含量,以及因而降低環境負荷。

酯、改性松香之季戊四醇酯、氫化松香之季戊四醇酯、天然萜烯之共聚物、天然萜烯之三維聚合物、氫化萜烯共聚物之氫化衍生物、聚萜烯樹脂、苯酚類改性萜烯樹脂之氫化衍生物、脂肪族石油碳氫樹脂、脂肪族石油烴類樹脂之氫化衍生物、芳香族石油碳氫樹脂、芳香族石油碳氫樹脂之氫化衍生物、脂環族石油碳氫樹脂及脂環族石油碳氫樹脂之氫化衍生物。這些之中,較佳為具有0至200 mg KOH/g酸值之增黏樹脂,以及更佳為具有0 mg KOH/g酸值之增黏樹脂。當酸值在這些範圍內時,可改善本發明熱熔膠之壓敏黏性。可單獨或組合使用這些增黏樹脂。就增黏樹脂而言,只要其色調為無色至淡黃色、具有實質上無臭味並且具有良好之熱安定性時,可使用液態增黏樹脂。於充分慮及這些性質之後,認為使用氫化衍生物等之樹脂作為增黏樹脂較佳。

根據本發明之熱熔膠可進一步依需要含有各種添加物。各種添加物之實例包括安定劑、蠟(wax)及微粒填料。
混合該「安定劑」以避免熱熔膠因加熱而降低分子
量、膠化、染色、產生臭味等以改善該熱熔膠之安定性。只要可獲得本發明之標的熱熔膠,對該「安定劑」並無特殊限制。該「安定劑」之實例包括抗氧化劑以及紫外線吸收劑。
使用該「紫外線吸收劑」可改善熱熔膠之耐光性。使用該「抗氧化劑」可避免熱熔膠之氧化降解。只要其可通常被用於消耗性用品內並且其後可獲得該所述標的消耗性用品,該抗氧化劑及紫外線吸收劑並無特殊限制。
抗氧化劑之實例包括酚系抗氧化劑、硫系抗氧化劑及磷系抗氧化劑。紫外線吸收劑之實例包括苯並三唑系紫外線吸收劑及二苯甲酮系紫外線吸收劑。此外,亦可添加內酯系安定劑。其可被單獨或組合使用。下列產品為市售之抗氧化劑。

只要蠟通常被用於熱熔膠內並且可提供本發明之標的熱熔膠,對該「蠟」並無特殊限制。其特定實例包括合成蠟,例如費托(Fischer-Tropsch)蠟及聚烯烴蠟(聚乙烯蠟及聚丙烯蠟);石油蠟,例如固體石蠟及微晶蠟;以及天然蠟,例如蓖麻蠟。
本發明之熱熔膠可進一步含有微粒填料。該微粒填料
可為一般常用者,並且只要可獲得本發明之熱熔膠並無特殊限制。該「微粒填料」之實例包括雲母粉、碳酸鈣、白陶土、滑石粉、氧化鈦、矽藻土(diatomaceous earth)、尿基樹脂、苯乙烯微球、耐火黏土及澱粉。其形狀較佳為球形,以及其大小(球形時為其直徑)並無特殊限制。
利用一般用於製造熱熔膠之習知方法藉由混合成分A、成分B、成分C及成分D與較佳為成分E以及其他依需要之添加劑製造本發明之熱熔膠。例如,可藉由混合預設量之上述成分,然後加熱並將其熔化以製造本發明之熱熔膠。加入成分之順序、加熱方法等,只要可獲得該標的熱熔膠,並無特殊限制。
本發明一種進一步較佳模式中,該熱熔膠較佳為在140℃下具有20000 mPa.s或更低,最佳為低於9000 mPa.s之黏度。可均勻地塗覆該熱熔膠之黏度為20000 mPa.s或更低,以及可輕易均勻地塗覆之黏度為低於9000 mPa.s。上述範圍內於140℃之黏度時,該熱熔膠更適合用於塗覆。此處於140℃之黏度(或熔融黏度)意指以27軸數之布氏(Brookfield)黏度計測量所獲得之值。
根據本發明之熱熔膠被廣泛應用於紙張加工、裝訂、消耗性用品等,並且由於在濕態中具有極佳黏性因而極適用於消耗性用品。只要其為所稱之衛生材料,對該「消耗性用品」並無特殊限制。其特定實例包括可拋棄式尿布、衛生棉、寵物墊(pet sheets)、醫院服、手術白袍、隔尿墊、產後用品(puerperant shorts)、防溢乳墊及汗墊。
在本發明另一態中,提供一種藉由塗覆上述熱熔膠之消耗性用品。藉由塗覆根據本發明之熱熔膠至至少一元件係選自由
織布、不織布、橡膠、樹脂、紙及聚烯烴膜所構成之群組而形成該消耗性用品。基於耐用性、成本等之理由該聚烯烴膜較佳為一種聚乙烯膜。當使用本發明之熱熔膠時,不織布之間或不織布與聚烯烴膜之間具有極佳黏性,因此其最佳為被用於可拋棄式尿布。
在消耗性用品之生產線中,該熱熔膠通常被塗覆至消耗性用品之各種元件(例如,織品、棉花、不織布、聚烯烴膜及脫模紙)。進行此類塗覆時,可從各種射出機(分注器)噴出該熱熔膠。
只要可獲得該標的消耗性用品,用於塗覆熱熔膠之方法並無特殊限制。此類塗覆法可廣泛地被分成接觸性塗覆法以及非接觸性塗覆法。該「接觸性塗覆法」指當塗覆熱熔膠時射出機係接觸元件或薄膜之一種塗覆方法。該「非接觸性塗覆法」指當塗覆熱熔膠時射出機不接觸元件或薄膜之一種塗覆方法。該接觸性塗覆法之實例包括狹縫式塗佈機塗佈法及輥式塗佈機塗覆法。該非接觸性塗覆法之實例包括以螺旋形式塗覆之旋塗法、以波浪形式塗覆之omega塗覆法及縫控塗覆法、以平面形式塗覆之縫噴塗覆法及幕噴塗覆法,及以點狀塗覆之漿點塗覆法(dot coating)。
為更詳細及更明確說明本發明之目的,本發明將利用下列實例進行解說。這些實例係用於說明本發明,並且在任何情況下不試圖將本發明侷限於該範圍內。
混合於熱熔膠內之成分說明如下。

利用萬用攪拌機依照示於表1至表4之混合比例混合成分(A)至(F),然後於約145℃下熔融及混合約3小時而製成實例1至25及比較實例1至11之熱熔膠。該熱熔膠以組成(混合)重量份表示之數值示於表1至4。
進行環形初黏力(loop tack)、熱安定性、T型剝離強度、熔融黏度與不織布/PE膜剝離強度測試以評估實例以及比較實例之熱熔膠。其各自評估方法說明如下。
將熱熔膠塗覆於具有50 μm厚之聚酯薄膜(PET)而使其達到50 μm厚度。使該含熱熔膠之PET膜形成2.5 cm x 12.5 cm大小之樣本。彎折此樣本使其黏著面(施予黏膠表面)朝外,然後於20℃下以300
mm/分之速度接觸一PE板。接著,當該樣本被剝離PE板時,測量於300 mm/分速度之剝離峰值強度。其結果示於表1至表3。下列為其評估標準。
。。:剝離強度→1,000 g/25 mm或更高
。:剝離強度→大於500 g/25 mm但小於1,000 g/25 mm
△:剝離強度→大於300 g/25 mm但高至含500(g/25 mm)
x:剝離強度→300 g/25 mm或更低
將35 g熱熔膠置入70 mL玻璃瓶內然後於150℃之乾燥箱內靜置24小時,觀察其外觀變化以評估熱安定性。其結果示於表1至表3。下列為其評估標準。
。。:未發生相分離、碳化產物或環狀物(形成環狀之熱熔膠降解產物)
。:發生非常些微之相分離、碳化產物及環狀物
△:發生些微之相分離、碳化產物及環狀物
x:發生相分離、碳化產物以及環狀物
將熱熔膠塗覆於具有50 μm厚之聚酯薄膜而使其達到50 μm厚度。使該含熱熔膠之PET膜形成2.5 cm寬之樣本。利用2 kg滾筒於20℃大氣下以300 mm/分之速度將該聚酯薄膜貼合至樣本,接著在室溫下固化24小時。然後於20℃大氣下以300 mm/分之速度進行剝離再測定其剝離強度。就每一種熱熔膠而言,其剝離強度代表測量三
件樣本所獲得之平均值。其結果示於表1至表3。下列為其評估標準。
。。:剝離強度→1,500 g/25 mm或更高
。:剝離強度→大於800 g/25 mm但小於1,500 g/25 mm
△:剝離強度→大於300 g/25 mm但高至含800(g/25 mm)
x:剝離強度→300 g/25 mm或更低
就熔融黏度而言,將熱熔膠加熱及熔化,然後利用布氏RVT型黏度計(軸數27)在140℃及160℃下測量熔融態黏度。其結果示於表4。下列為其評估標準。
。。:於140℃熔融黏度係低於9000 mPa.s
。:於140℃熔融黏度係從9000 mPa.s至20000 mPa.s
x:於140℃熔融黏度係高於20000 mPa.s
於150℃溫度以5 g/m2施用量藉由旋噴法將熱熔膠塗覆於不織布,及以熱熔膠疊合該已塗覆熱熔膠不織布及PE膜,然後施予0.5 kgf/cm壓力而獲得樣本(不織布/PE膜)。以垂直基板(CD方向)將所獲得之樣本切割成25 mm條狀,然後以300 mm/分之剝離速度測量其剝離強度。就每一種熱熔膠而言,其剝離強度代表測量三件樣本所獲得之平均值。其結果示於表4。下列為其評估標準。
。。:剝離強度→高於80 g/25 mm
。:剝離強度→40 g/25 mm或更高但低於80 g/25 mm
△:剝離強度→大於20 g/25 mm但低於40 g/25 mm
x:剝離強度→20 g/25 mm或更低
如表1及表2所示,含有全部成分A、成分B、成分C及成分D之實例1至實例19熱熔膠中,其於PE膜及PET膜之間均具有良
好之環形初黏力、熱安定性及T型剝離強度。
如表3所示,不含有成分A、成分B、成分C及成分D中任一種或兩種成分之比較實例1至比較實例9中,其於PE膜及PET膜間之環形初黏力、熱安定性及T型剝離強度大多數均低。比較實例6至比較實例9中,其不含有極性官能基-改性聚合物之成分A、成分B、成分C、成分C及成分D,由於不具有相容性而致使熱熔膠呈現分離以及不良物理性質。
如表4所示,含有全部成分A、成分B、成分C及成分D之實例20至實例25中,其塗覆熱黏膠沒有黏度之問題並且於不織布及PE膜間亦具有高與良好之T型黏接強度。另一方面,不含成分A或成分D之比較實例10以及不含成分A之比較實例11中,由於發生相分離故無法測量其黏度,因此兩種組成物均無法被塗覆至該不織布。
本發明提供一種熱熔膠以及一種塗覆該熱熔膠之吸收性用品。根據本發明之吸收性用品最適合被用作為其不織布被黏接至一聚烯烴薄膜之可拋棄式尿布。
Claims (6)
- 一種熱熔膠包含:(A)一極性官能基-改性聚合物;(B)一脂肪族聚酯類樹脂;(C)一增黏樹脂;以及(D)一熱塑性彈性體。
- 根據上述申請專利範圍第1項所述之熱熔膠,其中該極性官能基-改性聚合物(A)含有至少一種選自極性官能基-改性共軛雙烯類聚合物及極性官能基-改性聚烯烴類聚合物之聚合物。
- 根據申請專利範圍第1項所述之熱熔膠,其中該極性官能基係至少一種選自酸酐基、馬來酸基、羧基、胺基、亞胺基、烷氧矽基、矽醇基、矽醚基、羥基及環氧基之官能基。
- 根據申請專利範圍第1項所述之熱熔膠,其中該脂肪族聚酯類樹脂(B)至少一種係選自聚乳酸類樹脂、聚(丁二酸丁二醇酯)及聚羥基丁酸酯。
- 根據申請專利範圍第1項所述之熱熔膠,進一步含增塑劑(E)。
- 一種根據上述申請專利範圍第1項至第5項中任一項所定義含有該熱熔膠之消耗性用品。
