GGSN 22中仍然是固定的,且因此在移動當中亦能夠保 持。當位於UMTS Access NW 50時,使用者設備3β係藉由 PLMN中的UMTS無線存取網路(RAN)和伺服GPRS支援節點 (SGSN)元件52而能與錨點的GGSN 22通信。無線區域網路 和UMTS PLMN之間的交接係藉由Iur介面(以46表示)所完 成,而WIP-GW則支援自UMTS Iur界面46至UMTS RAN内之無 線網路控制器(R N C )的運作。
