M244657 9、創作說明(l) a本創作係關於通用行動電信系統(UMTS),更特別地 =:本創作係為關於無線區域網路(WLAN)及通用行動電 信系統(UMTS )間之緊密互作系統。 創作先前技術背景 存在著一個需求,即提供無線區域網路(WLAN)及通 用行動電信系統(UMTS)間緊密互作之系統架構及具有能 支援下述之架構: 於兩系統間之交接;
當終端在兩系統間交接時,通話管理及連接;以及 在兩系統間鬆散互相作用之國際漫遊通信定義表。 創作内容 WLAN及UMTS技術係有效地相結合,以相互作用及支持 一緊密互作通信定義表。UMTS之Iur介面係被用於無損失 的交接,行動網際協定(IP )則被利用於通信定義表管理 及連接’而DIAMETER通訊協定訊號則被用於認證及會計。 實施方式
第一圖顯示一系統架構丨〇,其包括一公共區域行動網 路(PLMN)12。其中公共區域行動網路12係包含用戶位置登 記/用戶訂購伺服器(ULR/HSS) 14、認證授權及會計用戶設 備(AAAHM6、計費通訊閘功能(CGF)18、用戶客服20以及 整合封包式無線服務支援節點(GGSN) 22。 無線區域網路網際協定通訊閘(WLAN IP GW),也就是

在WIP-GW 30和PLMN 12的用戶客服20之間具有一行動 網際協定(MIP)界面。WIP-GW30結合行動網際協定外部客 服與數種無線網路控制(RNC)功能,WIP-GW 30對於PLMN12 來說像是一外部客服、但對於AP來說則像是一無線區域網 路控制器(RNC),輸入的資料穿過PLMN(用戶客服)和WLAN (WIP-GW)30之間(以輸入資料線38表示),輸出的資料則直 接從WIP-GW30流向網際網路4〇(以輸出網際協定資料線42 表示)。 PLMN1 2藉由使用HSS/HLR1 4以提供認證與訂購管理的服
