發明說明( 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 發明背景 本發明係針對用於形成塗覆組合物之 粒子可用於提供例如汽車用以及—般維修、 = 覆系統用之金屬塗層。金屬粒子典型呈薄片形式 呈糊料形式可混合適當媒劑或載劑而形成塗層。 過去基於有機溶劑之媒劑曾經用於塗覆組合物而,士果 良好此種基於有機物之塗覆組合物結果導致釋放 大量揮發性有機物質至大氣,已經證實對環保有害,且已 經實施逐漸嚴苛的法條對抗有機排放物。塗覆組合物符合 新法規之-種方式係由基於有機之媒劑轉成基於水之媒劑 ,此種情況下則為水釋放至大氣而非揮發性有機物質。 以金屬塗覆組合物為例,使用水性媒劑成問題,原因 為水了此與金屬粒子反應產生氫氣。此點對鋅及铭粒子特 別為真。鋁粒子與水反應舉例說明如後: 2A1+6H20^2A1(0H)3+3H2 產氣量可能造成安全威脅,造成組合物容器内部高壓。此 外水反應顯著減低金屬粒子的美感價值。 冒經提議多種技術來對抗水性塗覆系統中水與金屬粒 子反應的問題。其中一例為金屬粒子使用有機磷酸鹽鈍化 (美國專利第4,565,716號)。另一種技術係使用六價鉻或五 價釩化合物(美國專例第4,693,754號)。其它技術包括使用 有機亞磷酸鹽(美國專利第4,808,231號)及使用硝基鏈烷烴 溶劑,及使用硝基鏈烷烴溶劑組合有機磷酸鹽、有機亞磷 酸鹽或五價釩化合物(美國專利第5,215,579號)。使用非均 卜紙張尺度適用中國國家標準(CNS)A4規格(210 X 297公釐) AWII ^-------- (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) 517077
質多陰離子及磷矽酸鹽顏料單獨及組合作為處理劑預期也 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 有效(美國專利第 5,296,032,5,348,579及5,3 56,469號)。前 述各專利案之揭示併述於此以供參考。隨然此等處理已經 達到某種程度的成功,但仍希望進一步改良來提供具有用 作塗覆組合物之預定性質之金屬粒子對抗來自水性載劑供 給的抗性。 發明概述 根據本發明可用於塗覆組合物之金屬粒子使用防蝕性 鉬酸鹽顏料處理。發現防蝕性鉬酸鹽顏料可提供金屬粒子 對抗來自水性介質攻擊的高度滿意的保護效果,而對於金 屬粒子作為塗覆系統成分並無顯著不良影響。處理後之金 屬粒子對氫氣的釋放有抗性,於塗膜可維持有用的美感價 值以及中間塗層及内部塗層黏著性質。鉬酸鹽顏料處理容 易配合成為金屬粒子常供給的糊料形式,如此鉬酸鹽顏料 處理極為適合實際用途。相信鉬酸鹽顏料係與顏料表面進 行化學反應。本發明之較佳方面,鉬酸鹽顏料係呈鹽形式 以a夕彳貝陽離子之鉬酸鹽、磷鉬酸鹽或矽鉬酸鹽為較佳 範例。 其匕本發明之目的、優點及特點考慮後文細節說明將 更容易瞭解。 細節說明 本發明係針對可用於形成金屬組合物塗覆之金屬粒子 的處理。此等金屬粒子通常係以片狀形式提供,但某些情 況下可使用球形(及其它)形式。金屬粒子通常具有粒子大 本紙張尺度賴帽目家鮮(CNS)A4 ^ (210 X 297½) -裝--------訂-------- (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁) )!7〇77

/、約1-5GG微米,較佳5.微米。金屬粒子用於多種塗覆 組合物包括汽車塗覆系統(提供汽車及卡車之金屬光整: 及用於-般維修、工業及屋頂塗覆系統。本發明例如可用 於鋁、鋅或青銅金屬粒子,或許以鋁為最廣用。 根據本發明,金屬粒子以钥酸鹽顏料處理來增加金屬 粒子對抗來自水性介質例如水性塗覆組合物之媒劑或載劑 的攻擊。如此根據本發明處理的金屬粒子適合用於水性塗 覆組合物,氫氣逸出顯著減少,中間塗層或内塗層黏著: 不會喪失也不會出現光學性質低劣現象。鉬酸鹽顏料可視為防純,此種顏料通常可用於底塗 層及維護塗層,其保護下方基質不會腐餘。鉬酸鹽顏料通 常係呈無機鹽形式。_例中鹽包括多價陽離子如詞、銘、 鋇、鎂鋅及鋁離子。可包括複數陽離子。鉬酸鹽例如可呈 鉬酸鹽,仙酸鹽或石夕鉬酸鹽形式。肖定非限制例包括磷 鉬酸鋅,鉬酸鈣鋅,矽鉬酸鎂鋅,磷鉬酸鈣鋅及鉬酸鋅。 相㈣酸鹽顏料可與金屬粒子表面產生化學反應而提供對 水攻擊的抗性。 金屬粒子可使用鉬酸鹽顏料於水性介質處理。為了使 用金屬粒子形成塗覆組合物,金屬粒子通常係呈含有約 40-90%重量比金屬粒子之糊料形式供給。使用翻酸鹽顏 料處理極為適合形成含金屬粒子的糊料。 一例中,防蝕性鉬酸鹽顏料可分散於液體俾便縮小鉬 酸鹽顏料粒子大小至足夠防止於乾燥的塗料膜形成種晶。 若翻酸鹽顏料之粒子大小不大於1〇微朱,較佳不大於5

jVfSEI補見气年(°以則 經濟部智慧財產局員工消費合作社印製 五、發明說明( 可減薄聚酯蜜胺塗覆。 也可於金屬粒子組合水性塗覆媒劑之後處理金屬粒子 。如此鉬酸鹽顏料或單獨或組合其它處理方法例如硝基鏈 烷烴,有機磷酸鹽,有機亞磷酸鹽,非均質多元陰離子, 磷矽酸鹽,鉻及釩處理可於金屬粒子添加至塗覆組合物之 前或之後添加至水性載劑本身。若鉬酸鹽顏料係於金屬粒 子已經添加至塗覆組合物後添加,則延遲不可過長通常不 可超過30分鐘,原因為長時間延遲將使水性載劑攻擊金屬 粒子。該種情況下當添加至塗覆組合物時,鉬酸鹽顏料量 可與產生糊狀形式之經處理粒子討論之量相等。可採用單 純混合技術。 根據本發明使用防蝕性鉬酸鹽顏料處理可組合前述其 它處理方法例如硝基鏈烷烴、有機磷酸鹽、有機亞磷酸鹽 、非均質多陰離子、磷矽酸鹽、鉻及釩。合併處理可獲得 優於個別處理的效果。 本發明將進一步藉由下列實例說明,該等實例僅供舉 例說明之用而非限制性。 實例1 修可斯(Heucophos) ZMP為得自修巴克(Heubach)公司 之含鋅陽離子及鉬酸鹽及磷酸鹽陰離子之防蝕顏料,其於 阿剪切力下分散於丙二醇一甲醚。分散液添加至含西伯齡 (Silberline)閃銀5745鋁糊料之混合機,獲得顏料相對於症呂 重量為10%重量比。混合物攪動約80分鐘獲得均勻糊料。 比較例1 &張尺度適規格⑵心297 ^7 • I · amMwm H· ϋ·1 mBBmm iBBi m an f , · μμ· aw I mm a··· 篇 兮口 (請先閱讀背面之注意事項再填寫本頁)
