Sözü geçen yığın, 6 mm kalınlığındaki sıradan bir açık renkli soda kalsik float cam levha üzerine uygulandığında, %70'in altında bir ışık geçirim TL özelliği ve %45'in altında bir güneş faktörüne FS sunmaktadır. Buluşa göre yığın, fonksiyonel tabakanın hemen yanına uygulanan ya da bu fonksiyonel tabakanın içine dâhil edilen, Pd, Pt, Au, Ir, Rh, Ru, Os, Co, Ni, Cu, Cr, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, W, Si, Zn, Mo,Mn, Ti, V, Nb, Hf, Ta elementleri ve alaşımları bazlı, esas olarak metalik bir emici madde içermektedir.
