Sehriye ya da hamur isi hamuru gibi gida ile ilgili hamurlar katlar içerisine sarilmakta ve farkli kalinliklara ve/veya farkli terkiplere sahip bulunan en azindan iki kat, bir laminatin biçimi içinde oldugu gibi, birarada tabakalandirilmis hale getirilmekte, bunu takiben de kurutulmakta ve arzu edilen geometrik biçimler içerisine kesilmektedirler. Geometrik biçimler tekrar nemlendirildiklerinde, bunlar, bir helezon içerisine kivrilma gibi, biçimlerini degistirmektedirler.
