Abstract

FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: titanomagnetite is subjected to reducing sulfidizing annealing under temperature of 1200 - 1300 C. Reducing agent is preliminary mixed with sulfidizing agent with ratio of carbon to sulfur as 10 : 1 and produced mixture is added to the concentrate in amount of 15 - 25 % of its mass. After annealing mixture is subjected to magnetic separation and flotation division of titanium and vanadium. Petroleum coke with 6 - 10 % sulfur is used as reducing agent-sulfidizing agent. Method allows to increase extraction of vanadium by 3 - 5 %, titanium - by 1 - 2 %, decrease pollution of environment due to decrease of sulfur discharge in atmosphere 1.2 - 2 times, to draw high-sulfuric petroleum cokes in production and due to that to increase production of vanadium.
