Abstract
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to compositions of slag-forming mixtures used in casting steel from the top into molds. The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the ingot surface by increasing the slag melt's ability to foaming and the stability of the resulting foam is achieved using a mixture containing, in wt%: ammonium carbonate 40-60, lime 25-35, silicate block 15-25. The mixture melts at 1260-1280 ° C, its slag melt and has a viscosity of 0.04-0.06 N. s / m 2 . Due to the good foaming of the slag melt and the high stability of the foam, the surface of the ingots made using the proposed mixture has a slight impact with defects in the form of captivity and non-metallic inclusions (5-9% of the ingot surface area) and cracks (8.3-16.6%). Mixture consumption 1-4 kg per 1 ton of steel. 2 tab.
Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to compositions of slag-forming protective mixtures used in casting steel from the top into molds.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of the ingot surface by increasing the ability of the slag melt to foam and the stability of the resulting foam.
Дл приготовлени предлагаемой смеси используют металлургическую известь с содержанием окиси кальци не менее 90%, силикатную глыбу (ГОСТ 13079-67) и технически чистый карбонат аммони .To prepare the proposed mixture, metallurgical lime with a calcium oxide content of not less than 90%, silicate lump (GOST 13079-67) and technically pure ammonium carbonate are used.
In tab. 1 shows examples of the composition of the mixture. All ingredients are used in a ground state to a fraction of not more than 0.001 m.
In tab. Table 2 presents the properties of the tested mixtures, as well as the results of the use of mixtures in the manufacture of ingots weighing 8 tons of steel 3 sp.
As follows from the table. 2, the proposed mixture is characterized by low melting points, and the slag melt of the mixture is low in viscosity. Due to the intensive formation of slag foam and its good stability, the ingot is formed under the conditions under which a surface is obtained with a minimum number of defects in the form of captivity, non-metallic inclusions and cracks. Mixture consumption 1-4 kg / t steel.
