METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC-DISK GLASS SUBSTRATE, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC DISK, AND GRINDING TOOL 5 The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a magnetic-disk glass substrate according to which it is possible to perform stable grinding processing with no grinding unevenness in grinding processing using fixed abrasive particles, and according to which it is possible to manufacture a high-quality glass substrate. With the method for manufacturing a 10 magnetic-disk glass substrate according to the present invention, a main surface of a glass substrate is ground using a grinding tool that includes an assembled abrasive particle in which a plurality of grinding abrasive particles are bonded with a glass bonding material, and resin for bonding a plurality of the assembled abrasive particles, a protrusion amount of grinding abrasive particles from 15 surrounding resin on a grinding surface of the grinding tool being greater than a maximum value of a surface shape obtained by measuring the grinding surface using a tracer type surface roughness meter.
