Abstract

1461039 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines KUHLAUTOMAT VEB 21 Feb 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 7439/75 Heading E1F In a meshing-screw compressor, Figs. 1, 3 and 4, having male and female rotors 7, 8 and a "slide valve" 11 to regulate the delivery rate, ducts 19, 20 in the valve and a "bracket" 18 connect a delivery chamber 5 to a contracting chamber between the rotor lands and lobes, so as to equalize the pressures and thus reduce noise, when the valve is at or near to its minimum delivery position. The positions of the ducts 19, 20 may be in effect reversed, Figs. 2 and 5 (not shown). Alternatively, the ducts 19, 20 are arranged to connect the chamber 5 to a suction chamber 4 when the valve is at or near to its minimum delivery position, Fig. 6 (not shown).
