Abstract
1428279 Rotary positive-displacement compressors STAL REFRIGERATION AB 22 Aug 1973 [24 Aug 1972] 39843/73 Heading F 1F In a sliding vane type rotary compressor comprising a cylindrical rotor 2 disposed in a working chamber having a peripheral surface which includes a portion 14 slidably engaged by the rotor 2, the curvatures of the surfaces either side of the portion 14 are such that a tangent to the surface on the outlet side 13 where the surface meets the portion 14 crosses the rotor surface and the surface on the inlet side 12 joins the portion 14 tangentially. The compressor has an inlet 3 and an outlet 6 controlled by a valve. A second embodiment is described Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown) in which opposite sides of the rotor each engages a surface portion 14, a pair of working chambers being formed between the surfaces extending between the portions and the adjacent rotor surfaces.
