Abstract

1444373 Rotary compressors STAL - REFRIGERATION AB 24 Aug 1973 [28 Aug 1972] 40277/73 Heading F1F A meshing-scew compressor comprises male and female rotors (4a, 4b) rotatably mounted in a housing 1, 2, 3 and an axially movable slide valve 5 which controls the size of a port 9 in the surface of the housing part 2, compressed gas which enters the port 9 from the working spaces 15 between the rotor lands being returned thereto through at least one opening 10 located upstream of the port 9. The opening 10 is positioned such that each working space 15 passes out of communication with the opening 10 at the latest at the same time the space is closed by an edge 7a from communication with the low-pressure port 7. Compressed gas is delivered through a high-pressure port 12.
