810596U-2 f! Ett ändamål med föreliggande uppfinning är att om- besörja en anordning för värmeförseglinq av förpackningslaminatet av ovannämnda typ. Anordninqen skall säkerställa att en försegling med optimala egenskaper erhålles även om de material som skall förseglas ej är helt fria från föroreningar. _ Ett ytterligare ändamål med föreliggande uppfinning är att ombesörja en anordning för värmeförsegling av förpacknings- laminat, vilken anordning ej är behäftad med tidigare kända anordning- ars nackdelar samt enkel och tillförlitlig till konstruktionen.
Anordningen skall vidare vara möjlig att använda i kända typer av förpackningsmaskiner samt vara möjlig att framställa till låg kostnad.
V Dessa och andra ändamål har enligt uppfinningen upp- nåtts genom att en anordning för värmeförsegling av förpacknings- laminat som innefattar ett utvändigt, termoplastiskt materialskikt genom att termoplastskikten inom en föreseglingszon bringas att an- ligga mot varandra och temporärt uppvärmas till förseglingstemperatur vilken anordning innefattar en långsträckt förseglingsback med en mot laminatet anpressbar arbetsyta getts kännetecknet att arbetsytan innefattar ett laminatet uppvärmande område, som omfattar dels en linjeformig ås, dels ett angränsande, lägre område vid sidan av åsen. Genom att förse det laminatet uppvärmande området med såväl en ås som ett angränsande, lägre område erhålles en back som då den anpressas mot två sammanlagda förpackningslaminat åstadkommer en för- seglingszon med ett linjeformigt narti i vilket laminaten anpressas mot två sammanlagda förpackningslaminat åstadkommer en förseglingszon med ett linjeformigt parti i vilket laminaten anpressas mot varandra med mycket högt tryck, varigenom den uppvärmda termoplasten kommer att med hög hastighet pressas från det linjeformiga omrâdet till angränsande område så att en effektiv blandning och därmed god för- segling erhålles på tidigare beskrivet sätt. Föredragna utföringsformer av anordningen enligt uppfinningen har vidare getts de av underkraven framgående kännetecknen.
En föredragen utföringsform av såväl sättet som anordningen enligt uppfinningen kommer nu att beskrivas närmare under särskild hänvisning till bifogade, schematiska ritning som blott visar de för förståelse av uppfinningen nödvändiga detaljerna.
Fig. l visar i förstoring ett tvärsnitt genom ett förpackningslaminat av en typ som kan värmeförseglas med hjälp av sättet och anordningen enligt uppfinningen.
Fig. 2 visar i förstoring ett tvärsnitt genom en För-anal -i nr-rehanïz enl 1:11- rmnFí 'nni 'noen . 8105960-2 Fig. 3 är ett snitt genom två förpackningslaminat enligt fig. l som värmeförseglas med hjälp av sättet och anordningen enligt uppfinningen ett centralt bärarskikt l av fibröst material, vilket skikt l på ömse sidor är omgivet av jämförelsevis tunna, homogena skikt 2,3 av termo- laminaten mellan sig har ett skikt av termoplastiskt material.
Fig. 2 visar i sektion ett tvärsnitt genom en förseglingsback 5 vid anordningen enligt uppfinningen. kroppens 6 omgivande delar förseglingsbackens 5 arbetsyta 8. Arbets- ytan 8 uppvisar en i skenan 7 formad, linjeformig äs 9. Åsen 9 vid sidan av åsen. Det laminatet uppvärmande området är via materialet i skenan 7 förbindbart med en strömkälla, vilken kan vara av hög- frekvent typ för att möjliggöra -' iixàïlz-Å-'lci 'V í- :kf , . massan-z i högfrekvenssvetsning av laminat som innefattar aluminiumfolie. Det laminatet uppvärmande området eller skenan 7 kan även vara uppvärmbart och till exempel utgöras av ett elektriskt motstândsmaterial då förpackningslaminat utan aluminiumfolie eller andra elektriskt ledande skikt skall förenas med varandra.
Förseglingsbacken enligt uppfinningen kan inom ramen för uppfinningstanken modifieras på olika sätt för att motsvara de krav som förseglingen av olika material och olika typer av förpack- ningsbehållare ställer. Typiska sådana modifieringar kan vara att förseglingsbacken förses med en eller flera kanaler för ett kylande vilket hindrar skadliga temperaturhöjningar eller oönskad spridning av värme till angränsande omrâden,_som skall förbli ouppvärmda. Det är även möjligt att utforma förseglíngsbacken i flera, inbördes rörliga delar. Exempelvis kan de på ömse sidor av âsen 9 belägna partierna av förseglingsbacken utföras rörliga i förhållande till âsen 9 och fjäderbelastas i ritning mot materialet, så att ett anpassat anliggningstryck automatiskt uppkommer.
Förseglingsbacken kan också vara dubbel d.v.s. innefatta två på avstånd från varandra anordnade huvudkroppar av den beskrivna typen.
Denna utföringsform är särskilt lämplig då en förpaokningsmaterialtub skall avförseglas, d.v.s. förseglas i två transversella zoner och avskäras mellan dessa, medium, t.ex. vatten, eftersom en kniv eller något annat lämpligt skärorgan då kan arbeta i utrymmet mellan förseglingsbaokens båda huvudkroppar.
Fig. 3 illustrerar förseglingsförloppet vid hopförseglingen av tvâ förpackningslaminat med hjälp av anordningen enligt uppfinningen. Två förpaekningslaminat 10, ll (eller två delar av samma, vikta förpaokningslaminat) har såsom en förberedelse till förseglingen förts samman så att de anligger mot varandra med sina utvändiga termoplastskikt 3. Förpackningslaminaten anpressas mot varandra med hjälp av en förseglingsback 5 och en med denna samverkande, på motsatt sida av förpackningslaminaten anliggande motback 12 (indikeras medelst punktstreckade linjer).
Förseglingsbacken 5 är av den typ som visas i fig. 2 under det att motbacken 12 uppvisar en mot laminatet ll anliggande, plan arbetsyta.
Backarna 5, 12 är så upphängda 1 förpackningsmaskinens inte visade fundament att de medelst hydrauliska eller mekaniska drivorgan är förflyttbara fram och åter så att de under förseglingen kan anpressas »Är :vgífyr-s-s 'e- f 61 ofšëåšid-z mot varandra med en viss, reglerbar kraft. Samtidigt som backarna förflyttas mot varandra och börjar sammanpressa de mellanliggande förpaokningslaminaten 10, ll förbindes förseglingsbackens 5 skena 7 med en nögfrekvent strömkälla. Härvid induceras ett växelfält i för- packningslaminatens aluminiumskikt H, så att dessa inom ett mot skenans 7 yta svarande omrâde uppvärmes till en temperatur som är avsevärt nögre än smälttemperaturen för intilliggande termoplastskikt. Den alstrade värmen ledes omedelbart över till de båda mellan aluminiumskikten belägna termoplastskikten 5 så att dess smälter ocn blir flytande. På grund av den höga kraft ca 9800k2a vilken förpackningslaminaten anpressa: mot varandra 1 jämnnöjd med àsen 9, kommer smält termoplastmaterial att flyta eller strömma från området l3 med högt tryck till angränsande delar 14 av den totala förseglingszonen 13,14. Eftersom de mot varandra anliggande termoplastskikten 3 i området utanför förseglingszonen l3,l4 fortfarande befinner sig 1 fast tillstånd ocn anpressas mot varandra kan den smälta termoplasten ej flyta vidare utanför förseglingszonen utan kvarstannar i de båda med nänvisningsbeteokningen l4 indikerade områdena, där den genom komprimering av bärarskiktmaterialet formar parallellt med det lángsträckta tryckomrâdet 13 löpande vulster 15, i vilka termoplaste från de båda med varandra förseglade skikten är blandade. I området 13 kvarstannar endast obetydliga mängder plastmaterial som p.g.a. ytornas ojämnhet etc. ej kunnat undanträngas, under det att på ömse sidor av området de bildade vulsterna 15 innehåller ett överskott av väl blandad plast, som ombesörjer en mycket stark och i praktiken obrytbar försegling mellan de båda skikten. Eftersom strömningen frå: området 13 till områdena lä är så snabb uppkommer turbulens i den strömmande plasten, vilket säkerställer att plasten från de båda mot varandra anliggande skikten blandas väl så att eventuell ytoxidation eller andra på ytan befintliga föroreningar (t.ex. från kvarblivande fyllgodsrester) effektivt blandas in i plasten så att någon sammanhängande hinna av föroreningar som försämrar förseglingens styrka ej kommer att finnas kvar.
För att ytterligare säkerställa att vulsterna eller ansamlingarna 15 av smält termoplast får ett begränsat, linjeformigt utseende, kan de utanför förseglíngszonen l3,1H befintliga delarna av de båda plastlaminaten tillföras kyla. Detta kan antingen ske genom _.. ._-.- - aa-»nr- 1 V _..' .- l 3105960-2 " att de båda backarna 5,12 förses med utanför förseglingsområdet liggande, vätskegenomflutna kylkanaler eller genom att fyllgodset vid den typ av försegling som sker under samtidig undanträngning av fyll- godset tillåtes kyla angränsande delar av förpackningslaminaten.
För att säkerställa en effektiv strömning av smält termonlast från det centrala området 13 till angränsande områdena 14 måste anpressningen av åsen 0 mot förpackningslaminaten ske med sådan kraft att yttrycket 1 förseglinqszonens linjeformiqa område 13 uppgår till ca 98 kPa samtidigt som termoplastens temperatur bör äverstiqa sa 13o° c. ,..,, _» .- f ï-|._ rg-'g-Å! .w v, :La-ß ;'.'_1;-_._= =
Claims (6)
1. l. Anordning för värmeförsegling av törpackningslaminat som innefattar ett utvändigt, termoplastiskt materialskikt genom att ter- moplastskikten inom en förseglingszon bringas att anligga mot varandra och temporärt uppvärmas till förseglingstemperatur, vi1ke~ anordning inneiattar en långsträckt förseglingshack (3) men en »ff laminatet anpressoar arbetsyta (8), k ä n n e t e c k n a d d ä r a v, att arbetsytan (6) innefattar ett laminatet uppvärmande omrâde, som omfattar dels en linjeformig ås (9), dels ett angränsande, lägre område vid sidan av âsen (9).
2. ¿. Anordning enligt patentkravet 1, k ä n n e t e c k n a d d ä r a v, attåsen (9) har en höjd av 0,2-0,8 ggr laminatets tjocklek.
3. Anordning enligt patentkraven l eller 2, k ä n n e t e c k n a a d ä r a v, att àsens (9) bredd är huvudsak- ligen lika med laminatets tjocklek.
4. Anordning enligt ett eller flera av patentkraven l t o m 3, k ä n n e t e c k n a d d ä r a-y, att det laminatet uppvärmande området utgöres av ett elektriskt ledande material, vilket är förbindbart med en högfrekvent strömkälla.
5. Anordning enligt ett eller flera patentkraven 1 t.o.m. 3, k ä n n e t e c k n a d d ä r a v, att ett laminatet uppvärmande området utgöres av elektriskt motståndsmaterial.
6. Anordning enligt ett eller flera av föregående patentkrav, k ä n n e t e c k n a d d ä r a v, att arbetsytan (8) även innefattar utanför det uppvärmbara området belägna, lamínatet kylande delar.
