Abstract

FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry and may be used for production of a high-quality biologically active additive applied as food with preventive, immunostimulating and strengthening properties as well as for manufacture of functional food products. The biologically active food additive is represented by phyto tea mixture of milled medicinal plant raw materials. The phyto tea mixture contains six components: Echinacea herb, St. John's wort herb, calamus rootstock, licorice roots, haw berries, currant leaves at a weight part ratio equal to 3:1:1:1:1:2 respectively.

EFFECT: invention allows to produce a new biologically active additive used as a natural bioregulator normalising physiological functions of the human organism organs and systems as well as to prevent ARVI, in case of asthenic syndromes, for enhancement of the organism immune status.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention relates to the food and medical industries and can be used to obtain high-quality biologically active additives (BAA) used in food as an immunostimulating and general strengthening agent, as well as to create functional food products. Supplement is a phytosolving of crushed medicinal plant material, which contains six components: Echinacea herb, St. John's wort grass, calamus rhizome, licorice roots, hawthorn fruits, currant leaves in a ratio, parts by weight 3: 1: 1: 1: 1: 2, respectively. The crushed phyto-collection is packaged in filter bags.

Supplements for food are a source of glycosides (echinacoside), saponins (glycyrrhizin), flavonoids (liquiquirithin, liquiquiritoside), inulin, anthraquinones, vitamins, trace elements, organic acids (), essential oils.

The aim of the invention is the creation of effective and convenient in the application of dietary supplements to food immunostimulating and general strengthening effect, with pleasant organoleptic properties.

State of the art

Currently known recipes for immunostimulating and general strengthening action from raw materials of plant origin based on sea buckthorn, eucalyptus, licorice, including in the form of tincture of echinacea [1].

Known drugs with a similar effect, Immunal, Aflubin, etc., many of which are produced by foreign companies. These drugs are concentrated concentrated extracts from plants and require accurate dosing when taken, which is not always convenient.

Since many modern immunostimulating agents have a large number of side effects and have limitations in their application, the proposed dietary supplement of immunostimulating and general strengthening effect could act as an alternative solution to the problem of prevention of viral diseases, manifestations of asthenoneurotic conditions. Supplements based on natural components have low toxicity, relative cheapness, virtually no side effects, ease of manufacture and do not require accurate dosing, which makes it available to the general population.

Known RF Patent No. 2195303 A61K 35/78 "The collection of medicinal plants, having a general strengthening and anti-inflammatory effect, containing narrow-leaved fireweed and bird highlander, three-leafed shift, a series and yarok in the following ratio of components, parts by weight: 1: 1: 1: 1 :one. However, the presence of bitter substances in a three-leaf watch significantly limits the use of collection.

Known RF Patent No. 2185186 A61K 35/78 "Gathering for the restoration of strength." This collection contains hawthorn flowers, leaves and flowers of black currant, leaves and flowers of primrose and St. John's wort in a ratio of 1/3: 2: 1: 1. The collection has a pronounced antimicrobial, restorative, cold, expectorant, emollient, sedative effects and reduces blood cholesterol.

Known RF Patent 137492, A61K 35/78 "Collection of medicinal plants, which has a general strengthening and anti-inflammatory effect", containing hanging birch leaves, common lingonberry leaves, St. John's wort grass, chamomile flowers, field horsetail grass, meadowsweet, cuff, pink clover, field geranium , yarrow, sweet clover, thistle, lupine, nettle, dioica nettle, mountaineer bird, marjoram, Veronica officinalis, thyme, cherry leaves, linden flowers, motherwort grass, dill, Ivan tea, plantain seeds, burdock seeds, grass for Epnika, tansy and cornflower in the following ratio of components, parts by weight: 2: 2: 1: 4: 4: 5: 2: 4: 4: 4: 2: 4: 2: 4: 6: 2: 2: 8 : 5: 5: 2: 4: 4: 2: 8: 5: 1: 2: 4. A significant drawback of the collection is the multicomponent composition (29 components).

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Dietary supplement for food of immunostimulating and general strengthening action, containing the following components:

1. Echinacea herb - 3 parts;

2. St. John's wort grass - 1 part;

3. Aira rhizome - 1 part;

4. Licorice roots - 1 part;

5. Hawthorn fruits - 1 part;

6. Currant leaves - 2 parts.

New and significant in dietary supplement for food is a balanced composition, which includes these components in the optimal ratio, which allows you to mutually complement each other and enhance the action in the complex. Supplements contain two components with a predominantly immunostimulating effect: Echinacea herb and licorice roots, which in combination with St. John's wort, calamus rhizome, hawthorn fruits and black currant leaves contribute to an immunostimulating and restorative effect.

A biologically active food supplement has a multidisciplinary effect on the body:

- Echinacoside glycoside, essential oil and inulin of Echinacea herb exhibit an immunostimulating, antiseptic effect, stimulate tissue granulation, increase phagocyte activity, and have a stimulating effect on the central nervous system. Echinacea-based drugs are recommended for physical and mental exhaustion;

- St. John's wort grass, due to the presence of flavonoids, has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties;

- calamus rhizome containing essential oil (up to 4.8%), acorin glycoside, has a tonic and immunostimulating effect, increases the reaction to taste irritation and enhances the secretion of gastric juice;

- licorice roots containing saponins (solasotdin) have adaptogenic activity, increase the production of hormones in the adrenal cortex, and regulate the water-salt balance of the body. In addition, licorice root preparations lower the temperature, promote sputum discharge, increase diuresis, and perspiration.

- triterpene glycosides of hawthorn fruits improve coronary and cerebral blood circulation, regulate vascular system tone, have a sedative effect, reduce nervous system excitability and improve sleep. The antispasmodic and hypotensive effect of hawthorn preparations is also associated with the presence of flavonoid and triterpene compounds;

- leaves of blackcurrant with a high content of ascorbic acid (0.25%) have a pronounced general strengthening effect: they increase redox processes in the body, activate a number of enzyme systems, stabilize the content of adrenaline, catecholamines, stimulate the synthesis of hormones, favorably affect carbohydrate metabolism, vascular permeability.

Food supplements are obtained by mechanical mixing of pre-dried and crushed medicinal plant materials to a particle size of 1.5-2 mm, followed by packing in filter bags.

Supplements for food are prepared as follows: the collection filter bag is poured with 200 ml of hot water, covered with a lid and insisted for 15 minutes. Take orally in a warm form after eating, 1 glass 2-3 times a day. The course is 4-6 weeks.

Supplements of immunostimulating and tonic action have shown good results in the prevention and after colds and viral diseases.

The proposed nutritional supplement expands the scope of medicinal plants and can be used in the food industry for the targeted production of new products with prophylactic properties and with high biological value.

The effectiveness of dietary supplements for food of immunostimulating and general strengthening effect is due to the relationship of the phytochemical composition of plants and their pharmacological activity. The proposed dietary supplement can be recommended as a prophylaxis of acute respiratory viral infections, in asthenic conditions, to increase the immune status of the body.

Assessment of the organoleptic properties of dietary supplements was carried out by questionnaire-survey method. Its good organoleptic properties were noted. None of those participating in the tasting noted any unpleasant “aftertaste”.

Thus, as a result of the implementation of the proposed invention, a dietary supplement for food was obtained, which due to the optimal combination of natural components has an immunostimulating and general strengthening effect, has pleasant organoleptic properties.
