Изобретение относится к трубопрокатному производству, а именно к способу получения котельных труб большого диаметра из слитков ЭШП (электрошлакового переплава), и может быть использовано на трубопрокатных установках с пилигримовыми станами, имеющих в своем составе станы поперечно-винтовой прокатки. В практике трубопрокатного производства существует способ изготовления котельных труб большого диаметра из кованых заготовок стали марок 20, 12Х1МФ, 15Х1М1Ф, 15ГС, 15Х5М с заданными требованиями по механическим свойствам, включающий отливку слитка, его ковку (уплотнение структуры), нагрев, прошивку и прокатку на пилигримовом стане (ТУ 14-1-2560-78 "Заготовка трубная кованая для котельных труб", ТУ 14-3-480-75 "Трубы для паровых котлов и трубопроводов", ТУ 14-3-420-75 "Трубы для паровых котлов и трубопроводов из стали 15ГС и 15Х1М1Ф". Поставленная цель достигается тем, что в известном способе производства котельных труб большого диаметра, заключающемся в использовании кованых заготовок, нагреве до температуры деформации, зависящей от марки стали, прошивке их в прошивном стане в гильзы и прокатке гильз в пилигримовом стане в трубы заданного размера (ТИ АРI Q1 - 158-Тр.ТБ1-39-97 "Изготовление бесшовных горячекатаных труб для паровых котлов и трубопроводов по ТУ 14-3-460-75"), вместо кованых заготовок используют слитки ЭШП большего диаметра, чем кованые заготовки, а процесс прошивки ведут с посадом по диаметру на 8-16%.
