Abstract

Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentru prepararea dimetilester de acid tereftalic din p-xilen si metanol la care filtrantul de la recristalizarea fractiei DMT-brut se evapora sau fractia continînd metanol si eventual alti curenti continînd metanol se rectifica la o presiune sub presiunea aplicata la esterificare si anume 2...20 at, de preferinta 4...8 at, vaporii continînd metanol astfel obtinuti sînt supusi la o compresie folosind un raport de compresie de 1,2/1...15 : 1, de preferinta 3 : 1...9 : 1, temperatura finala atinsa la comprimare fiind de 150...300 degree C, de preferinta 220...280 degree C, dupa care acesti vapori comprimati se folosesc la esterificarea oxidantului.
