Claims (3)
- «e consistia em 450 quilogramas de um pó de polietileno linear de baixa densidade, no processo a ser formado. A mistura gasosa reaccional contendo etileno, but-l-eno, hidrogénio, azoto e etano, cuja pressão se deixou variar entre 1,95 e 2,05 MPa, passou através deste leito fluidizado, com uma velocidade de fluidização ascendente de 0,50 m/s. Introduziu-se, intermitentemente, com tempo, no reactor, um catalizador idêntico ao descrito no Exemplo 1, da patente francesa n2 2 405 961; o referido catalizador continha magnésio, cloro e titânio, e tinha sido convertido anteriormente num pré-polímero contendo 40g de polietileno por milimole de titânio e uma quantidade de tri-n-octilalumínio ( TnOA), de tal forma que a proporção molar Al/Ti era igual a 0,80+0,05 , e consistia em partículas com um diâmetro médio em peso de 230 micra. A taxa de introdução do pré-polímero no reactor foi mantida constante a 700 g/h. Durante a polimerização, introduziu-se etileno no reactor, a uma taxa regulada e constante de 100 Kg/hora, introduziu-se hidrogénio para manter a proporção da pressão de hidorgánio e a pressão parcial de etileno constante e igual a 0,45 na mistura gasosa reaccional, e introduziu-se but-l-eno, a fim de manter a proporção da pressão parcial de but-l-eno para a pressão parcial de etileno, constante a 0,20 na mistura gasosa reaccional. Introduziuram-se também no reactor, a uma taxa constante, 40,25 milimoles por hora de trietilalumínio. Nestas condições, produziram-se 105 Kg/h de polietileno, com uma gravidade específica de 0,920 , um índice de caudal de fusão, medido a 190BC sob uma carga de 2Kg, de lg/10 minutos e um contéudo de titânio de 8 ppm, e que consistia em partículas com um diâmetro médio em peso de 1200 micras. Obser-vou-se durante vários dias de polimerização contínua, que a produção de polímero se mantinha constante a 105 Kg/h, sem a formação de aglomerados, e que a qualidade do polietileno linear de baixa densidade, produzido por este processo, permanecia constante e de fomna mui Lo satisfatória, apesar das variações nas condições de polimerização e, em especial, apesar variações ao acaso na actividade do catalizador e das flutuações imprevisíveis e não facilmente detectáveis nas impurezas trazidas pelo etileno, pelo but-l-eno e os outros constituintes da mistura gasosa reaccional. A ' i :V-V r·h.REIVINDICAÇÕES 1® - Processo contínuo para a polimerização duma alfa-olefina em fase gasosa com um catalizador à base dum metal de transição em que a alfa-olefina tem 2 e 12 átomos de carbono e se realiza num reactor de polimerização em fase gasosa fazendo contactar uma mistura reaccional gasosa, contendo a alfa-olefina a ser polimerizada, com um sistema catalizador do tipo Ziegler-Natta, constituído por um catalizador sólido que compreende pelo menos um composto organometálico dum metal pertencente aos grupos IV, V ou VI da Tabela Periódica dos Elementos e um cocatalizador que compreende pelo menos um composto organometálico dum metal pertencente aos grupos II ou III da Tabela Periódica, caracterizado pelo facto de o reactor de polimerização ser alimentado com um caudal constante da alfa--olefina. 2® - Processo, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo facto de se manter constante o caudal de alimentação de alfa-olefina com o auxílio dum sistema de regulação do caudal. 3â - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 ou 2, caracterizado pelo facto de a pressão total da mistura reaccional gasosa não exceder uma pressão máxima pré-determinada. 4¾ _ Processo,, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 3, caracterizado pelo facto de a pressão total da mistura reae-cional gasosa ser mantida acima duma pressão mínima pré-determinada . I Λ ° τ ,53 - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 4, caracterizado pelo facto de se introduzir um agente de limitação de comprimento da cadeia no reactor de polimerização, a fim de se manter a proporção entre a pressão parcial do agente limitador do comprimento da cadeia e a pressão parcial da alfa-olefina.
- 63 - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 5, caracterizado pelo facto de, no reactor de polimerização se introduzir um comonómero de modo a manter-se constante a proporção entre a pressão parcial do comonómero e a pressão parcial da alfa-olefina na mistura reaccional gasosa.
- 73 - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 6, caracterizado pelo facto de no reactor de polimerização se introduzir o catalizador continuo ou intermitentemente com um caudal constante. 8a - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 7, caracterizado pelo facto de, no reactor de polimerização, se introduzir uma quantidade de cocatalizador , separadamente do catalizador, com um caudal que possibilita manter constante a proporção molar entre a quantidade de metal presente no co-catalizador introduzida separadamente do catalizador, e a quantidade de metal de transição presente no catalizador, no reactor de polimerização.9 - - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 8, caracterizado pelo facto de o catalizador ser do tipo de Ziegler-Natta baseado em magnésio, halogéneo, titânio e/ou va-nádio e/ou zircónio. 10a - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 9, caracterizado pelo facto de se introduzir o catalizador no reactor de polimerização sob a forma dum pré-polímero. 11a - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 10, caracterizado pelo facto de se realizar a polimerização num reactor em leito fluidizado sob a pressão compreendida entre 0,5 e 5 MPa e a uma temperatura compreendida entre O e 120 2 C. 12a - Processo, de acordo com qualquer das reivindicações 1 a 11, caracterizado pelo facto de se manter uma condição do processo constante e igual a um valor pré-determinado por meio dum computador de controlo do processo.
