Similar rings can be sealed by wetting and turning them several times in the opposite direction (scuffing). This center, however, only blinks temporarily. In order to overcome this drawback, the sealing ring is provided, according to the present invention, with a groove on the inside. As a result of the induction produced in this way, the compressed air is able to press the ring from all the sieves against the head of the coupling. Moreover, the compressed air contributes to the pressing of the two rubber rings against each other when connecting two heads, which ensures tightness of the joint. At the same time, thanks to the provision of the rings into the grooves, their elasticity increases, which facilitates the replacement of the rings and fastening of the heads.
