Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest urządzenie do obierania warzyw, zawierające obudowę, wewnątrz której umieszczone są: zbiornik (8) na warzywa osłonięty pokrywą z otworem wrzutowym, obrotowy talerz obierający (9) umieszczony w zbiorniku (8) na warzywa, połączony z zespołem napędowym (14) oraz umieszczony poniżej obrotowego talerza obierającego (9) zbiornik (10) na odpady. Zgłoszenie to charakteryzuje się tym, że obrotowy talerz obierający (9) zawiera na swojej powierzchni warstwę ścierną w postaci elektrokorundu lub związku na jego bazie, pokrytą warstwą ochronną w postaci parafiny lub związku na jej bazie.
