The essence of the industrial design is a new form of the object, manifested in the shape and appearance of the upholstered parts, which give the furniture a unique, original appearance intended to enhance its aesthetic qualities. The corner sofa according to the industrial design is intended for repeated reproduction in industrial production. The subject of the industrial design is shown in the attached photograph, in which Fig. 1 shows the corner sofa from the front. Essential Features of the Industrial Design: The essence of the industrial design is a corner sofa made in a so-called mattress style, i.e., with a clearly defined seat and backrest overlay. The furniture creates the impression of a solid, heavy, hard structure, on which a soft "blanket" is placed to increase seating comfort. The top of the seat pad is quilted, dividing the seat surface into squares, as if the seat were sewn from small square elements. The armrests form separate shapes, attached to the seats. The front of the armrest is characteristically rounded. A distinctive feature is the combination of two different materials on the armrest - the top with the same material as the seat - the bottom with the same material as the front fascia. The sofa stands on legs in the shape of a lying cylinder. The backrest of the sofa is supported by cushions made of patterned fabric and the other one in fabric like the fascia.
