The essence of the industrial design is the new form of the object, manifested in the shape and appearance of the upholstered parts, which give the furniture a unique appearance intended to enhance its aesthetic qualities. Furniture upholstered according to the industrial design is intended to be reproduced multiple times in industrial production. The subject of the industrial design is shown in the attached photograph, in which Figure 1 shows the upholstered piece of furniture from the front. Essential Features of the Industrial Design The essence of the industrial design is an upholstered piece of furniture in the form of a 3-seater sofa, characterized by a seat with a clearly defined cover – a quilt, stitched and quilted in squares. The cover overlaps and falls onto the front fascia in a slightly rounded shape. Two backrest cushions are also stitched and quilted in squares, echoing the seat cover. The upholstered piece of furniture is available under the trade name LAGOS.
