Abstract

The present utility model relates to a process of producing a kerson (muntingia calabura)-apple jam, the steps comprising: slicing an apple; pouring water onto the apple slices in a pan to produce a mixture; bringing the mixture to a simmer until it becomes a pulp; straining the pulp from the mixture to get an apple extract; adding a kerson (muntingia calabura) and a citrus fruit juice into the apple extract to form a combined mixture; simmering the combined mixture; adding sugar into the combined mixture to form a kerson-apple mixture; and bringing the kerson-apple mixture into a rolling boil until the kerson-apple mixture thickens and forms a gel.
