Abstract
La invencion describe metodos para el desarrollo de un tratamiento en base a un bacteriofago virulento para el control de enfermedades de plantas provocadas por Xylella fastidiosa. La invencion ademas provee metodos para aislar y propagar el bacteriofago virulento a X. fastidiosa en un huesped bacteriano Xanthomonas y para tratar o reducir los sintomas de la infeccion por X. fastidiosa en una planta. La invencion ademas provee metodos para aislar y propagar el bacteriofago virulento a Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri y para tratar o reducir los sintomas de la infeccion por Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri en una planta
