SE PROVEEN METODOS PARA OBTENER CELULAS EXPANDIDAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON UMBILICAL HUMANO QUE EXPRESAN CD34. LOS METODOS INCLUYEN SEMBRAR UNA CANTIDAD SUFICIENTE DE CELULAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON CON UNA CANTIDAD SUFICIENTE DE CELULAS MENSTRUALES, EN CONDICIONES DE COCULTIVO ADECUADAS PARA PROMOVER LA EXPANSION DE LAS CELULAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON, Y COCULTIVAR LAS CELULAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON CON LAS CELULAS MENSTRUALES EN CONDICIONES DE CULTIVO QUE SOPORTEN, AL MENOS, DOS O MAS DUPLICACIONES DE POBLACION DE CELULAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON. TAMBIEN SE PROVEEN METODOS PARA DESARROLLAR CELULAS EXPANDIDAS DE SANGRE DE CORDON UMBILICAL HUMANO PARA ORIGINAR CUALQUIERA DE LAS UNIDADES FORMADORAS DE COLONIAS DE CELULAS PRECURSORAS DE LINAJE SANGUINEO: UNIDAD FORMADORA DE COLONIA GRANULOCITICA Y MACROFAGICA [CFU-GM], UNIDADES FORMADORAS DE BROTES ERITROIDES [BFU-E], Y UNIDAD FORMADORA DE COLONIA GRANULOCITICA, ERITROIDE, MACROFAGICA, MEGACARIOCITICA [CFU-GEMM].
