Abstract

Fremgangsmåte for mikroinnkapsling av et kjernemateriale, omfattende trinnene a) blande et kjernemateriale med en mikro-innkapslende polymer, b) tilføre til blandingen et superkritisk fluid med evne til å svelle polymeren under til-strekkelig trykk og temperatur til å holde fluidet i en superkritisk tilstand, c) la det superkritiske fluid trenge inn i og flytendegjøre polymeren, samtidig som temperatur og trykk er til-strekkelig til å holde fluidet i en superkritisk tilstand, og d) hurtig avlaste trykket slik at polymeren stivner rundt kjernematerialet og danner en mikrokapsel. Med denne fremgangsmåte er det ikke nødvendig at hverken polymer eller kjernematerialer er løselige i det superkritiske fluid. Fremgangsmåten kan anvendes for hurtig og effektiv mikroinnkapsling av en rekke materialer for forskjellige anvendelser.
