Abstract

En varmeablativ beleggblanding fremstilles ved å kombinere en epoksysilanharpiks, en epoksyharpiks, et silikon-mellom- produkt, en silisium-modifisert polyeter, et aminosilan, minst en organometallisk katalysator, minst et organisk løsningsmiddel, vann, minst ett fyllstoff, eventuell ikke- silisiumholdig aminkatalysator, og eventuelle pigmenter og tiksotropiske midler. Den varmeablative beleggblandingen påføres på et substrat til å danne en film som har en bygget tykkelse i området fra omtrent 2,54 mm til 12,7 mm (0,1 til 0,5 tommer) som er istand til å herde ved utendørs omgivelsestemperatur i løpet av omtrent 7 døgn, avhengig av omgivelsesbetingelsene.
