Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"COMPOSIçãO DE REVESTIMENTO ABLATIVA A QUENTE"<D>. Uma composição de revestimento ablativa a quente é preparada por combinação de uma resina epóxi, uma resina epóxi, um intermediário de silicone, um poliéter modificado por silício, um aminossilano, pelo menos um catalisador organometálico, pelo menos um solvente orgânico, água, pelo menos um material de enchimento, catalisador de amina não contendo silício opcional, e agentes tixotrópicos e pigmentos opcionais. A composição de revestimento ablativa é aplicada a um substrato para formar uma película tendo uma espessura de estrutura na faixa desde cerca de 0,254 cm a 1,27 cm (0,1 a 0,5 polegada) que é capaz de curar à temperatura ao ar livre ambiente em cerca de seis dias, dependendo das condições ambientais. A película ablativa a quente assim formada é destinada a sofrer uma decomposição térmica lenta quando exposta a condições de temperatura alta sem se inflamar ou causar fumaça excessiva, e é destinada a ter boa condutividade térmica para proteger o substrato subjacente contra a decomposição térmica. A película ablativa a quente tem propriedades elastoméricas de resistência ao impacto e flexibilidade que serve tanto para proteger uma estrutura subjacente de dano mecânico devido a partícula ou outro contato, quanto facilitar seu uso com substratos flexíveis.
