Resonator for elektromagnetisk utsending/utstråling og basert på total indre refleksjon - ved viskegalleri-moduskavitasjon langs omkretsen av en skive (10, 20, 30, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110) med tykkelse (14) under en bølge- lengde. Ved at resonatoren arbeider over lasermodusterskelen er den et alternativ til kjente typer overflate-emitterende lasere, for integrasjon i/med intregrerte kretser - enten hel- optiske eller elektrooptiske. Ved arbeide under terskelen kan resona- toren tjene som en lysemitterende diode.
