Abstract
armefast induktorblokk (20) for kanalinduksjonsovner (2). for smelting av aluminium, omfattende en herd (6) og en in-duktor (10). Den varmefaste induktorblokk, (20) støpes av et varmefast materiale som er resistent mot å korroderes av smeltet aluminium, og består av 9,5 - 40 vekt% kalsium-aluminat, 0,5 - 10 vekt% av en borsilikat-fritte og 60 - 90 vekt% av et tilslagsmateriale bestående av en aluminiumoksyd-holdig forbindelse, en kiselsyreholdig forbindelse eller blandinger derav. Det varmefaste materiale støpes rundt en fast kjerne (80) laget av et materiale som kan desolidi-fiseres (helt eller delvis smeltes) ved tilførsel av varme, f.eks. voks. Kanalkjernen (80) formes for tilveiebringelse av de ønskede kanaler (30) i den varmefaste induktorblokk (20). Etter dannelsen av det varmefaste materiale kan form-materialet, såsom voks, smeltes bort og det varmefaste materiale herdes ved brenning ved en temperatur i området. 760 - 871°C, fortrinnsvis ca. 815°C, i 5 - 20 timer, fortrinnsvis ca. 6 timer. For å sikre ensartet oppvarmning under brenningen blir temperaturen langsomt hevet fra om-givelsestemperatur opp til brenningstemperaturen med en hastighet på opp til 5,6°C pr. time.
