En forbedret elektrisk aktivert detonator for bruk i per-forerlngskanoner for oljebrønner, hvor et hermetisk forseglet donator-sprengstoff (31, 29) driver en plate (26) gjennom et løp, inn i et ventilert tomrom (3) for å antenne en akseptor-sprengladning (23). Hvis det tomme rommet fylles med væske, vil ikke detonatoren funksjonere. Detonatoren er også mot-standskraftig mot aktivering p.g.a. høyfrekvensenergi og elektrostatisk energi.
