Claims (13)
- Testremse (10) for bestemmelse av et nærvær eller en kvantitet av en analytt i en væske ved innføring av testremsen (10) i et optisk avlesningsapparat (12),karakterisert ved at testremsen (10) innbefatter: en forkant og en akterkant; et første parti for påføring av en væske, hvilket første parti har en overflate som definerer en reaksjonssone, hvilken reaksjonssone er anordnet til å variere i reflektans som funksjon av kvantiteten av analytt som er tilstede i den påførte væsken, og et andre parti med en flate som definerer en standardsone med høy reflektans i forhold til reaksjonssonen, hvor standardsonen er anbrakt på remsen (10) slik at den ligger mellom forkanten og reaksjonssonen.
- 2. Testremse (10) i henhold til krav 1, hvor standardsonens utstrekning mellom reaksjonssonen og forkanten er minst 0,76 cm.
- 3. Testremse (10) i henhold til krav 1, hvor standardsonen oppviser en reflektans ved 660 nm lysbølgelengde på minst fire ganger reflektansen til reaksjonssonen når reaksjonssonen er fargeutviklet etter påføring av helblod, inneholdende 100 mg/dl glukose.
- 4. Testremse (10) i henhold til krav 1, hvor standardsonen har en tilstrekkelig lengde til at dens reflektans kan avleses minst tre ganger av apparatet når den føres inn i apparatet med en hastighet på 8,9 cm pr. sekund.
- 5. Testremse (10) i henhold til krav 1, hvor standardsonen har en bredde som er minst lik bredden til en optisk synlig del av reaksjonssonen.

- 12. Fremgangsmåte for bestemmelse av et nærvær eller en kvantitet av en analytt i en væske påført en testremse (10) som er tilpasset for innføring i et optisk avlesningsapparat (12),karakterisert ved at fremgangsmåten innbefatterå påføre væske til testremsen (10), hvilken testremse innbefatter et parti med en overflate som definerer en reaksjonssone som er anordnet til å variere i reflektans som funksjon av kvantiteten av analytt som er tilstede i påført væske og hvilken testremse videre innbefatter en standardsone med en i det vesentligste konstant reflektans,å føre remsen (10) inn i apparatet (12), idet standardsonen innføres foran reaksjonssonen når remsen (10) føres inn,å avlese standardsonens reflektans når remsen er under innføring,å avlese reaksjonssonens reflektans etter at remsen (10) er ført helt inn, ogå bestemme nærværet eller kvantiteten av analytt i væsken som funksjon av de avleste standardsonens reflektans og reaksjonssonens reflektans.
- 13. Fremgangsmåte i henhold til krav 12, hvor standardsonens reflektans avleses ved å ta et mangfold avlesninger og kun den høyeste av disse avlesningene anvendes når avlesningene brukes til bestemmelse av nærværet eller kvantiteten av analytten.
