Abstract
혈중 글루코스 함량 측정기에 사용하기 위해 시약 시험 스트립이 채용된다. 전혈 시료는 스트립 상의 매트릭스의 한쪽 표면에 적용되고, 측정기는 약 635nm와 700nm에서 매트릭스의 반대 표면의 반사율을 측정하고, 반사율로부터 시료 중의 글루코스 농도를 계산한다. 적용된 시료가 매트릭스를 투과해서 시험 표면에 나타나는 부위는 700nm에서 감지할 수 있는 범위까지 흡수하지 않는다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 글루코스를 함유한 시료는 시약을 함유한 매트릭스의 성분들과 상호작용하여 혈액 색의 효과를 나타내는 700nm에서의 반사율의 변화를 일으킨다. 그 결과, 광학적으로 볼 수 있는 헤모글로빈의 존재 중의 전헐 시료 중의 글루코스 농도를 측정하는 측정기에 스트립이 사용될 수 있다.

Claims (13)
- 장치가 스트립의 한 말단의 가까운 쪽에 놓인 매트릭스의 적어도 일부로부터 반사된 약 635nm와 약 700nm의 파장에서 빛의 세기를 검출하기 위한 광학 수단을 포함하고, 매트릭스가 (a) 전혈 시료를 받아서 그의 일부를 그에 반대되는 시험 표면 쪽으로 통과시키는 시료 수용 표면, (b) 매트릭스를 통한 적혈구의 통과를 선택적으로 지연시키고, 매트릭스에서 적혈구의 용해를 최소화시킴으로써, 시험 표면으로부터 보이는 시료의 일부가 약 700nm에서 감지할 수 있는 정도까지 빛을 흡수하지 않도록 하는 구조물, 및 (c) 시험 표면에서, 혈중 헤모글로빈의 흡광도에 의해서 생성된 것과 실질적으로 동일한 약 700nm에서의 반사율의 변화와 글루코스 농도를 나타내는 약 635nm에서의 반사율의 변화를 발생시킴으로써 글루코스 농도를 나타내는 시약을 포함함을 특징으로 하는, 전혈 시료 중의 글루코스 농도를 측정하기 위한 장치에 사용되는 시약 시험 스트립(reagent test strip).
- 제1항에 있어서, 매트릭스가 전혈 시료의 적혈구를 포획하는 기공을 갖는 막을 포함하는 스트립.
- 제1항에 있어서, 매트릭스가 이방성 막(anisotropic membrane)을 포함하는 스트립.
- 제3항에 있어서, 막의 기공이 시료 수용 표면 근처에서는 보다 크고 시험 표면 근처에서는 보다 작은 스트립.
- 제1항에 있어서, 매트릭스가 폴리설폰막을 포함하는 스트립.
- 제1항에 있어서, 시약이 글루코스 농도를 나타내는 발색단을 형성하는 염료 전구체를 포함하고, 발색단이 635nm와 700nm에서 모두 빛을 감지하여 흡광하는 스트립.
- 제6항에 있어서, 염료 전구체가 4-아미노안티피렌(AAP)과 크로모트로프산, AAP와 8-아닐리노-1-나프탈렌술포네이트(ANS), 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 염료커플로부터 선택되는 스트립.
- 제6항에 있어서, 염료 전구체가 3-메틸-2-벤조티아졸리논 하이드라존 하이드로클로라이드(MBTH)와 ANS, MBTH와 이의 포름알데하이드 아진과의 혼합물, 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로부터 선택되는 스트립.
- 제1항에 있어서, 시약이 글루코스 농도를 나타내는 635nm에서의 흡광도를 갖는 발색단을 형성하는 제1염료 전구체와, 전혈의 흡광도를 모의하는 700nm에서의 흡광도를 갖는 발색단을 형성하는 제2염료 전구체를 포함하는 스트립.
- 제9항에 있어서, 제1염료 전구체가 MBTH와 3-디메틸아미노벤조산(DMAB)의 혼합물을 포함하는 스트립.
- 제9항에 있어서, 제2염료 전구체가 MBTH와 프리마퀸 디포스페이트(PDP), AAP와 PDP, 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 염료 커플로부터 선택되는 스트립.
- 제9항에 있어서, 제2염료 전구체가 알리자린 레드 S, 페놀 레드, 및 이들의 혼합물로 이루어진 그룹으로 부터 선택되는 스트립.
