Abstract
Varmeisolerende struktur omfattende i det minste ett fleksibelt lag basert på komprimerte ekspanderte grafittpartikler som er kjennetegnet ved at densiteten til det fleksible laget er lik minst 0,4 g/cm3 (400 kg/m3) og at den varmeisolerende struktur også omfatter et annet lag som er nær det fleksible laget basert på komprimerte grafittpartikler med en densitet som typisk er mindre enn 0,4 g/cm3 (400 kg/m3). Det kompakte komprimerte ekspanderte grafittlaget har foretrukket en densitet på mellom 0,5 og 1,6 g/cm3 (500 og 1600 kg/m3) og det sub-kompakte komprimerte ekspanderte grafittlaget har en densitet på mellom 0,05 og 0,3 g/cm3 (50 og 300 kg/m3). Varmeisolerende elementer er også beskrevet som er utformet til å anbringes på ovner som opereres under en ikke-oksiderende atmosfære og ved en temperatur som er høyere enn 800(C.
