Description
Plastfolie, og særlig vannfast plastfolie, slik som polyethylen, som mer og mer anvendes for fremstilling av for-skjellig slags emballasje, f.eks. sekker for kunstgjødsel og lignende, for varepakking og som beskyttelse på eksempelvis byggeplasser, har den store ulempe at den er glatt og blank og har meget lav friksjonskoeffisient. Følgen herav er at når f.eks. sekker fremstilt av slik plastfolie skal stables på hverandre, hender det lett at sekkene raser og ulykker skjer. Selve håndteringen er også tidkrevende. Det samme er tilfelle når denne plastfolie anvendes for varepakking eller som dekkmateriale på byggeplasser, særlig om vinteren, når sne og is øker gliderisikoen. Man har forsøkt å minske gliderisikoen ved å gjøre overflaten ujevn, f.eks. ved pregning, men en slik pregning har ikke den ønskede effekt, da pregningen under trykk hurtig ut-jevnes. Hvis man bekler plastfolien med noe annet materiale, kan naturligvis overflaten gis ønsket ruhet, men da er det allerede spørsmål om spesialtilvirkning som er relativt dyr og derfor ikke er anvendbar for billig éngangsemballasje.
Det vanligste plastmateriale for sekker og vareemballering er det plastmateriale som er basert på polyethylen, av hvilket folier, sekker og lignende vanligvis fremstilles ved ekstruder-ing, hvorved forskjellige metoder kommer til anvendelse. Ifølge en metode mates den smeltede plastmasse frem gjennom
et med en ringformet spalte utstyrt munnstykke hvis aksel ligger vertikalt. Ovenfor munnstykket utsettes plastslangen eller -tuben innenfra for et visst lufttrykk, hvorved en be-tydelig utvidelse av slangen finner sted. Den på denne måte formede sømløse, i tverrsnitt ringformede plastbane styres oppover til den er kjølnet, hvorefter den sammenlegges i banens tverretning, f.eks. mot en valse, og fra denne føres videre, vanligvis nedover, for sluttelig å rulles opp på en rulle. Luftrommet begrenses av munnstykket på den ene side, og sammenlegningsstedet på den annen side, og ved å regulere lufttrykket kan man delvis regulere foliens veggtykkelse. Folien kan i dette tilfelle tøyes både i lengde- og tverr-retningen.
En enkel folie kan også fremstilles ved å presse massen gjennom et langstrakt munnstykke mot eri blank avkjølt valse som former selve folien. Tøyningen skjer derved bare i materialbanens fremmatningsretning.
Også andre metoder forekommer, og den fremstilte plastfolie blir på grunn av materialets struktur i alle disse til-feller glatt og blank, hvilket er en stor ulempe hos det ellers anvendbare forpakningsmateriale.
Oppfinnelsens formål er å fjerne denne ulempe på en enkel, og med den vanlige plastfolietilvirkning lett forenlig måte. Oppfinnelsen angår således en fremgangsmåte av den art som er beskrevet i US patentskrift nr. 3 553 070, og som er angitt i krav l's innledning. Det særegne ved fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen er angitt i krav l's karakteriserende del.
På den vedlagte tegning illustreres fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen med et skjematisk eksempel hvor munnstykket til en vanlig plastfoliemaskins ekstruder har en ringformet spalte. Fig. 1 viser ekstruderen og den sylinderformede plastbane sett fra siden, og Fig. 2 viser detaljen A i fig. 1 i forstørret målestokk.
Gjennom sprøytemunnstykket 1 utmates plastmasse 2 i vertikal retning gjennom en ringformet spalte i munnstykket, slik at en slange- eller sylinderformet plastbane oppstår. Samtidig tilveiebringes et visst lufttrykk i slangens indre, slik at rørveggen ved 3 utbøyes og ved 4 er helt sylindrisk. Sprøytemunnstykket 1 har to materialtilførselsspalter eller kanaler 1' og l<1>'. Gjennom den indre kanal 1' mates vanlig plastmasse, fortrinnsvis polyethylen og gjennom den ytre kanal l'<1> fortrinnsvis samme masse, men med tilsetning av et skumnings- eller esemiddel som danner både åpne og lukkede celler i massen. Det er fordelaktig at man ved munnstykket arbeider med høyere temperatur enn vanlig, for at skumdan-nelsen skal bli tilstrekkelig kraftig,eksempelvis ved 180° 190°C når LD-polyethylen anvendes. Når de to materialbaner møtes ved utgangsstedet 5 ovenfor munnstykket, festner de til hverandre og utsettes samtidig for den ved hjelp av lufttrykk eller på annen passende måte tilveiebragte strekning. Derved brister de eventuelt lukkede celler, henholdsvis tøyes de åpne celler, og på sylinderens ytre overflate oppstår et uregelmessig mønster med rue, uregelmessig nettformede for-høyninger . På denne måte får plastfoliens ytre overflate en ønsket ruhet som i høy grad letter stabling og håndtering av varer innpakket i slik folie.
Ved å anvende tre utmatningsspalter i munnstykket kan man få plastfoliens overflate ru på begge sider. Midtskiktet består, da av glatt folie, og skumplastskiktet anbringes på begge den glatte folies sider.
Det er klart at fremgangsmåten ifølge oppfinnelsen kan tillempes ved alle de metoder hvor en tøyning av plastmasse til.mer eller mindre arklignende produkter tilføres. Man kan således bekle et arkformet produkt med skum og deretter tøye eller presse det slik at de nettformede forhøyninger dannes.
Polyethylen og andre plaster kan bringes til å skumme med forskjellige midler, f.eks. ved at der i plastmassen inn-føres en gass," f.eks. freon, som er uoppløselig i plastmaterialet.
Selvsagt kan også den ifølge oppfinnelsen fremstilte plastfolie benyttes i kombinasjon med annet forpakningsmateriale, f.eks. papp og kartong, hvorved plastfolien kan festes ved hjelp av hvilken som helst kjent metode og i et hvilket som helst egnet trinn, enten under fremstillingen av folien eller under fremstillingen av det annet materiale.
Claims (4)
1. Fremgangsmåte ved fremstilling av en glidefri plastfolie med uregelmessige forhøyninger, ved hvilken i det minste den ene folieoverflate i tilslutning til ekstruderingen for-synes med et av plastmasse fremstilt og med et skumnings-eller esemiddel behandlet belegg, og folien derefter strekkes, karakterisert ved at en glatt underlagsfolie og nevnte belegg ekstruderes hver for seg og føres sammen straks etter ekstruderingsmunnstykket, og ved at belegget eller beleggene fremstilles av et ved romtemperatur ikke klebrig plastmateriale, f.eks. polyethylen, med et slikt inn-hold av skumnings- eller esemidlet at der dannes både åpne og lukkede celler i massen samt ved at strekkingen utføres slik at de lukkede celler brister, hvorved de av de brustne celler dannede forhøyninger blir hårde og ru i den ferdige, avkjølte plastfolie.

karakterisert ved at ekstruderingen utføres ved høyere temperatur enn den normale for det anvendte plastmateriale, for derved å øke skumningen.
3. Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1 eller 2,
karakterisert ved at belegget eller beleggene fremstilles av samme plastmateriale som underlagsfolien, fortrinnsvis av polyethylen.
4. Fremgangsmåte ifølge krav 1-3,
karakterisert ved at der som skumnings- eller esemiddel anvendes en i plastmaterialet ikke oppløselig gass, såsom freon.
