Abstract

The circuit breaker has an annular arc extinction chamber (3') made from an insulating material. It has also an extinction plug (15') made from insulating material. These two elements have coaxially arranged on their peripheral surfaces (a) slots (3'a) and or (15a') or ribs (3'b) and or (15'b). The slots (3'a, 15'a) have a transverse conic section. The slots (15'a) are arranged so that they are exactly placed in front of the ribs (3'b) when the extinction plug (15') is in a stop position. The slots (3'a, 15'a) are in a spiral form.
