Abstract

Un dispositivo amortiguador para amortiguar el componente de movimiento vertical inducido por olas de una estructura flotante. El amortiguador se proyecta en la forma de un faldon bajando debajo del fondo de la estructura flotante (11), y consiste en una pluralidad de canales (47) que se extienden de una manera sustancialmente horizontal, y convergen desde una abertura de entrada (27, 28, 36, 37, 38) hasta una abertura de salida (16, 46), conduciendo lejos de la estructura flotante (11). Cuando la estructura (11) se mueve hacia abajo, se fuerza el agua desde el lado inferior a traves de los canales (47), y crea un efecto de chorro que actua con un efecto amortiguador sobre el movimiento vertical de la estructura. El dispositivo amortiguador tambien se puede hacer en la forma de un faldon que se proyecta hacia afuera sobre la estructura flotante, y puede consistir en una pluralidad de canales (17), en donde se extienden un numero de primeros pasajes (27, 28) en una direccion sustancialmente vertical, y se funden en un numero de segundos pasajes (29) que se extienden en cuando menos una direccion sustancialmente horizontal, y de esta manera fuerzan el agua desde una direccion de movimiento sustancialmente vertical, a traves de los primeros pasajes (27, 28), hasta una direccion de movimiento horizontal, a traves de los segundos pasajes (29) durante una parte del paso a traves del amortiguador (12). Tambien es posible una combinacion de los dos amortiguadores, en donde el amortiguador (12) se localice inmediatamente arriba del amortiguador (13).
